Great product for a pro.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Another banger from JBL. Great sound performance. Has great style and aesthetics. Super comfortable. I love the charging base station extra. Great for controlling sound at an office type setting, so you’re not always reaching up and trying to find flocking or switch the mic on/off. Also doubles as a charging base for the extra battery. This comes with all the chords and a dongle so it’s easy to connect to whatever. It immediately connected to my phone and computer effortlessly.

Premium Feel, Great Sound, Built for Gaming

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JBL Quantum 950X feel premium right out of box. The build quality is top notch, everything feels solid and well made. They have a nice weight to them, not too light but not too heavy either, so they sit securely on your head without getting uncomfortable. The elastic headband is really comfortable, I've worn them for hours with no issues. Small details like the magnetic replaceable ear cups and magnetic battery cover are a nice touch and just add to that premium feel. The buttons and dials are also very easy to get used to.
The base station is a cool addition. It works as a transmitter, looks great on the desk with the built-in LED lighting, and makes it easy to control volume or mute your mic without reaching for the headset. It also charges one of the two included batteries, so you can always have one ready to go, which is super convenient, the only downside is that if you're switching between consoles, moving it around can be a bit of a hassle.
The app is actually really useful. You can adjust EQ, switch spatial audio modes, and control things like active noise canceling and ambient aware. The ANC is good, but compared to other high-end ANC headphones, it could be better, ambient aware is nice if you want to hear what's going on around you while you're still gaming. Even without turning the headphones on, the ear cups fit very well to my ears and block out a good amount of noise. The spatial sound also does a really good job creating a surround sound effect, especially in FPS games where being aware of your surroundings actually matters.
The detachable mic is solid too. Voice comes through clear, even with some background noise, so it works well for both gaming and calls.
Sound quality is what you would expect from JBL, clear highs and mids with a nice punchy bass with no distortion. They are not just good for gaming, they work great for music and everyday use.
Overall, this feel like a true premium headset. Great build, super comfortable, packed with useful features, and they sound great whether you're gaming or just listening to music.

Excellent product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am using this on Xbox. The built in spacial sound is excellent. The general sound quality is excellent. The headset is very comfortable. The noise cancelling feature is super efficient. Only complaint is mic boom is static and not moveable. All other features are excellent.

Fantastic for gaming or everyday use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Blown away by this product. JBL included all cables, two batteries, a separate device to let you easily adjust volume and charge the second battery.
I wore this for a few hours and they are very comfortable. I like that you can easily unclip the ear covers and replace them if they get worn out. Battery swaps take like two seconds as one of the covers unclips and pops out. Battery life also has been great even after a few hours of use I still didn’t need to charge.
Noise canceling is good but I have had better performance with other headphones. Most of the time I leave them on the setting where you can hear things around you. The microphone is good and easy to adjust. People said they could clearly hear me either way no issues. The head tracking was pretty cool and worked really well. I did take me a little while to get use to how the sound works when you move your head around. After you get use to it, it’s actually really nice.
I also used this for just general watching movies and music. These sound great and can get very loud. They provide good bass and good highs which making watching a movie even better.
Overall I really like theses gaming headphones and could see using them for games, music, and movies. My plan is to use these mostly for gaming and zoom calls since the mic works very well.

Awesome Headset with a few quirks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me say, my first impression upon putting the headset on is "Wow, these are comfortable!" I could honestly wear them all day. The purple and orange accents are not gaudy or intrusive. Pairing to my phone and computer was easy as expected, however pairing to my computer was not necessary due to the base station that comes with the headset. Turning the headset on you are met with a pleasing and very "JBL" sound that is similar to other JBL devices. The voice used for the prompts is pleasant as well. The manual makes the controls easy to understand.
The app for Windows works very well and allows you to control every aspect of the headset. The spatial sound is not something I like particularly. The sound while spatial sound is turned on is very tinny, (Think sound coming from cheap laptop speakers) and even after the calibration using the included earbud it is still not very desirable in my opinion. The spatial head tracking is a neat trick, and is possibly something I would use in a game, but for listening to music it is just distracting.
The sound quality and definition of this headset is beyond what I was expecting. Excellent sound reproduction that is crisp and clear with bass when needed. No rattles or buzzes from the driver enclosures. The EQ presets are good with several presets for popular games like Fortnite, CS2, Dota 2, LOL, and others . The Quantum engine software also allows you to create new EQ presets which I could see as handy for different styles of music, different games, or for watching videos.
The battery system that is used on this headset is not the best in the way of changing batteries. You have to take the cover off of the right hand driver to swap batteries, very inconvenient. The base station has a battery charger slot to charge the two included batteries, albeit one at a time. The battery can also be charged in the headset by connecting the included USB-C cable to a power source and to the headset directly. Range is very good with the ability to go a few rooms away from the base station without connection issues. The Bluetooth connection has been solid and range is typical.
The base station control is not labeled, so there is a learning curve. Expected is turning the knob for volume, wasn't expecting that the knob was also a button that could modify up to four settings (controlled by the software which can be changed). Once one gets used to the control knob it is very useful.
One caveat when hooking up the base station to a computer is that it defaults to XBox mode. you have to change the mode before the app will work properly. The software prompts you to change and tells you how, but this is an annoyance. This issue comes up when you are doing the spatial sound calibration as well since the software wants you to connect the headset to the computer directly using the USB-C cable. On the final step of the calibration it tells you to hook up the USB-C cable to the base station and will not continue until you do. My first attempt timed out and I had to redo the calibration, remembering that the base station had to change modes to communicate properly with the app.
I would like to have seen a stand or holder come with the headset as it does not sit very well on a desk. Even a monitor hook would have been nice. The headset does come in a soft felt bag but that is all, no hard case.
Overall this is an awesome headset that has excellent sound and features, a few quirks, but overall awesome. Definitely an 8 out of 10 in my opinion.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best headset I have ever used! True JBL sound, and clarity I haven’t heard before in a gaming headset. The headset is comfortable for long sessions, and the swappable batteries is a massive plus! Set up was easy. The mic works great, and is removable. The control/charging base works flawlessly. The batteries click in and out of the base so charging and swapping one out is super fast and easy especially with the magnetic removable outer cup. JBL nailed this one for the gamers!
