I am baffled. Why are people loving this iron?
Sure it's sleek and it covers a good surface and it does well around buttons and small areas but it doesn't remove wrinkles! It does very well if you spray and then iron, but I wasn't expecting to spray every inch of a shirt!
The spray covers a fair distance so if you want to spray at the top of the shirt, make sure that your iron is towards the bottom of the shirt otherwise you'll get it all over the board and places you didn't want to wet!
It heats up relatively quick. It steams when you put your iron down to rest, so be careful.
The reservoir is too small, I need to refill with water for every shirt. Inconvenient.
I will return and get a professional iron, even if I need to pay double the price.

Help!

I bought this iron 3 to 4 months ago and loved it. However yesterday it stopped in the middle of ironing. It will not heat. I've tried everything and I don't know what to do. I'm very disappointed.

stopped heating up 2 months outside the warranty

Purchased in 2016; 2 months outside of the warranty it stopped working and will not heat up. I can live with its other annoyances: difficult to see if the water level has reached the fill line, water sometimes sputters out, iron can make a popping sound when heating up to steam can shoot out unprompted -- but I still expected more than two years of light use out of this. Looking at review sites like the Wirecutter, this iron apparently has reliability issues. Black & Decker should recall it.

Wish it worked better

I haven’t been happy with my iron. It leaks water from the bottom of the cord and it is so top heavy it falls over. When I’m trying to iron water leaks out the spout you add water. I don’t know if I just got a bad iron or what. I love this brand and I was excited to get this iron.

Poor design of temp control

Poor design on the temp controls. Does what an iron should do, but the dial to set the temperature is grey with dark grey print. When combined with the way the dial sits in the shadow under the handle, you can’t see where the temp is set even when turning the device on its side in an attempt to read it easier. And the placement of the temp control is such that it is frequently moved simply by picking up and holding the iron.

Poor design

The gray plastic water tank area is so dark you can’t see when it hits “max” so every time it overflows, such a pain. The temp dial is difficult to read and move.
I’ve looked everywhere on your website for the ounces of water the iron holds thinking I will measure going forward but can’t find that specification. I will have to fill it, empty it, measure it so I can figure it out on my own. I plan to mark the setting on the dial with some sort of permanent marking (fingernail polish maybe) so I can see where I need to be. Poor design. Oh and remember to peel the plastic off the plate before you plug it in, sheesh. I nearly missed that bit.
