Great Warranty Coverage

I bought a Black & Decker iron last November but it stopped working after just a few uses. Black & Decker was very helpful and warrantied the unit. I just received the replacement today and, so far, am very pleased with it. Thank you.

Good Iron Could Use a Few Minor Improvements

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first took this iron out of the box I was concerned with it's weight, but I must say once in use it glides smoothly across the fabric easily removing wrinkles on clothes. The appreciated the larger spout to add water, but will admit the darker plastic made it difficult to see if I had filled it enough. Another slight concern was the temperature gauge. The lack of contrast between numbers and the knob itself sometimes makes it difficult to see temperature it is being set at.
Except for these minor issues, this iron definitely definitely helped her this job done in a timely manner and without much effort.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It didn't drop no water over the iron board or the clothes with was a big plus to me. It does not required you to pass the iron twice or more over the clothes. It have different settings to help manage the clothes. It heat up very quick with help you tackle the pile of clothes that in front of you. It also have auto clean system with help with left over debris . It has a large face plate and thick handle grip that is comfortable to hold. It also have auto shutdown. It remove all the wrinkle in the clothes. I will definitely recommended this product.

Stopped heating

This iron was great while it worked, but sadly one day it simply stopped heating. There was no catalyst for this. The iron now turns on but there's no heat or steam whatsoever. Of course, it was out of warranty so I wasn't able to get a replacement.
I wanted to post this review to warn other buyers because I would expect an iron to last longer than a year or two, but it seems a lot of products these days are cheaply made and only last long enough for the warranty to expire. It's a shame, as the iron was good while it lasted but this has definitely put me off purchasing any more Black and Decker appliances.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor Design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sorry B & D, very poor design. For this I have to give just one star. If you can't add water without spilling everywhere, your steam iron just doesn't work for me. The iron's water well is too dark and you can't see how much water is being added causing you to overfill the iron. I've tried using a flashlight to illuminate the dark plastic water well while adding water and the plastic was still too dark to really see the water. There's too much to control, adding water, holding a flashlight and trying to see the water level is just too much to do to get water in this iron.
The position of the temp control dial is always being bumped when in use. These two very inconvenient design flaws will force me to return the iron to the store.
I have one question; Did anyone try using this iron before you put it on the market?

Nice Iron!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this iron, the steam controls on top are easy to use. There are buttons on the top for a pulse of steam or to spray water. The only thing I did not like is for the controls on the knob there is nothing saying what numbers are for which fabrics, you have to look in the booklet to know what setting is for the type of fabric you are ironing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i sampled this steam iron overall i like it ,i just had trouble with the steam it kinda ran all over my shirt an got it wet , turned steam off an dry ironed it and it turned out nice.
