Why are Otterbox Defender now made without screen protection????

Great question! Our new screenless Defender styles are intended to provide a perfect balance of superior protection and full device functionality. They are normally offered for devices with curved screens.
On the other hand, this particular Symmetry series for the Galaxy J7 (2017) doesn't come with a built-in screen protector because the Symmetry cases have never incorporated screen protection. We apologize for any confusion surrounding these two different OtterBox designs! If your heart is set on screen protection, we would recommend our Alpha Glass, which will pair perfectly with the Symmetry. True, this case does not integrate any sort of screen protector or belt clip - the product that includes these features is the Defender series. Unfortunately, at this time, we do not carry the Defender case for this specific device, but we'll definitely pass your thoughts along to our product design team!

Historically, the Defender has been the only case specifically built to fit with our OtterBox holster, and the Symmetry hasn't incorporated any sort of belt clip. Wish it came with a screen protector. Needs more color options and the rectangular style cases for this type of phone

Same problem as the first review. Doesn't sit down in the case right. The hole for the camera isn't right.

We are truly sorry for any confusion with the Symmetry case for the 2017 Galaxy J7. From what you are describing it sounds like you may have the 2016 Galaxy J7 which will not work with this case due to the variances between the two different phones. We do not make a case for the 2016 Galaxy J7.

The case didn't fit my phone. The hole on the back was too small and covered the flash on the camera. I went to a local cell phone accessory store and found a hard case for half the price as your product. You may want to re-think the design of the case because it definitely did not fit my Samsung Galaxy J7 phone.

If you happen to have the 2016 Galaxy J7 then that would explain the poor fit. This Symmetry was specifically engineered for the 2017 version of the J7 and will not be compatible with the 2016 variety.

Always used otter box on my phones. This case does NOT have the rubber texture so if you lay it on your leg for maps youll be picking your phonr off the floor real quick

Don't buy, bad design

I have this type of case from otterbox on my Samsung s7 and is great. Sooo I ordered one for my wife's Samsung J7. There is a design flaw with the front of the case for the j7 that covers speaker

This Symmetry was made specifically for the 2017 Galaxy J7 and some people have accidentally purchased it for their 2016 Galaxy J7. When this happens you will find that the case will not fit properly as the phone is slightly different.
