Headset didn’t work with my computer

This product didn’t work with my computer. It doesn’t have a usb connection, only a single audio cable. It’s supposed to be both mic and headphones, but my computer doesn’t recognize both, my computer only recognizes audio or only the mic, but not both at the same time. I tried all of the jacks on my computer but it didn’t fix the problem.
