I looked at a lot of different HP printers, have learned not to bother with the rest. For the feature rich printer I selected I'm disappointed that it could not handle either legal size paper or be Linux compatible. Being continuously pestered to sign up for Smart+ is a BIG negative. How often the HP Smart software fails to connect from any of my allegedly compatible devices is a source of continual frustration.

It's much lighter and more compact than my old HP all-in-one, which pleasantly surprised me. I'm enjoying the photo printer, and appreciate that it came with a few sheets of photo paper. The"self healing" WiFi made it very easy to connect to my network and set up.
