The light itself worked great. But I have had the headlamp for about a month and have taken good care of it. And it broke when it fell from my head. The first time I ever dropped it.. So for that reason I gave it one star who

I received this in December 2018 as a gift. It is useful when maintaining the crawl space, easy to use. I have mild arthritis in my thumbs and am frustrated with inability to open the battery compartment. I like to remove batteries prior to storage. Other family members are also unable to open it. I would not get this type of product again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not water proof

About 5 months old. Used it mostly indoors doing electrical work. Used less than a dozen times.
Now dead. I bought it because it was rechargeable and because it was waterproof.

Apparently it's not waterproof. A little sweat got inside and now it won't turn on. If I charge the battery, outside of the headlamp, and put it back into the unit, it turns on without pressing any buttons, and stays on until the battery dies again. Was nice while it worked.
Disappointed, because it wasn't cheap where I live.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Although the FL85R is not waterproof, it is water resistant with an IP54 weather rating. So long as the headlamp wasn't submerged, it should be able to handle any moisture it encounters. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really loving this headlamp and wish I had it a long time ago. It’s very bright and comfortable when wearing. I use it for many things from grilling at night to riding bikes in the evening. Lights up the path really well!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am happy with this headlamp so far. There are many practical uses, from home projects to using outside in the dark. The lamp shines bright and the headgear is a comfortable fit. There are several light settings that are useful as well.
