Great light, lots of power, has adjustable zoom, 3 power levels and hands free! I like the rechargeable battery. These are the best headlamp I have used and are very durable .

I do not like this model. The buttons are hard to find and with rubber gloves on because im a mechanic its really hard to find buttons. They should be raised a bite to be able to find them. You have to toggle the on button to get to the setting u want . I will be returning the headlamp.

Good light but the on switch rubber is not good for mechanics ,the rubber breaks down quickly, I've replaced mine 2 times in a year and now on 3rd one

I'd give the FL85 a 5 star rating if I hadn't gone though 2 of them in a year (the most recent was just purchased 4 months before it stopped working). I don't know if it is a design flaw in the on/off switch or what the deal is but I am so disappointed ... I LOVED this headlamp but as someone who walks an average of 3 hours in the dark every day need one I can rely on. I am researching to see if any of the other models last longer because aside from the short lifecycle it really was perfect.

Pretty good light while it lasted

I had this light for six months before it failed. While it worked, it was a pretty good light. It is Super Bright, lasts a Long Time even on High Beam, and the Re-charge feature has saved me Lots of $ on batteries, but it does have one BIG problem. The switch very difficult to use bare-handed, and nearly impossible to find with gloves on. I have used Coast products for 25+ years, and have been well pleased with their products and service. I have no doubt that they will repair or replace my light, but it will still be hard to find the switch.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
