I have other Coast flashlights and headlamps, but this little guy is my “go to” for just about any household need. It’s light, comfortable, bright, rechargeable, has multiple brightness settings, and adjustable beam (from spot to flood). It’s pretty much got it all! Even the strap is reflective so if you use it to walk your pet, jog, or even go out for a late night walk, motorists may see you from various angles. Coast make so many to choose from, but if you can’t decide... I think this will suit just about anyone’s needs just fine. No regrets here!

This works way better than the flashlight I was using. I purchased this because I needed something hands free however I was really impressed with the amount of light provided. The low setting works great and provides the perfect amount of lighting needed for me to inspect vehicles in the dark. The high setting is very impressive and can light up an entire room. I wish I had purchased this sooner. I highly recommend this product.

This is a great light. Light weight with a comfortable headband. The white light really puts out when we are paddling in the swamps at night. The red (night light) adds to vison without blinding you and really adds a different view a more drama to the paddle.

Best light for wearing on your head or on your hat

A fantastic product. I’am 77 years old. I walk twice a day usually 5 miles the first walk during the afternoon. I take my second walk around 8 P.M. anywhere from 5 to 7 miles. I wear knee sleeves for support and use a cane as a precaution.
I live in Michigan, when wearing the FL85R I set it on the highest light exposure and have it tilted down one notch. This way I can see if their is any black ice in front of me. I then can be very careful walking over the black ice. A great plus when when taking my dog on the night walks as my hands are free to hold the leash if I need to as I have my dog trained to heel off leash.
The rechargeable battery lasts the entire walk at night which is usually 2-3 hours depending on weather conditions.
The safety vest with the rechargeable rear red light is also a fantastic product.

THE power button broke

Excellent durable product. I use the FL-85 headlamp daily. It is bright enough to see the object clearly without bleaching all the color. The focusing ring produces a sharp light field without dark holes or inconsistent light intensity. The headband is adjustable and comfortable. I am very satisfied.
