Super bright! Lite weight so don’t forget you have it on when talking to others it will blind them. I wear every day, recharge in van if I forgot to recharge in evening , but recharge usually at end of day. It has 3 brightness settings.

Good light but the on switch rubber is not good for mechanics ,the rubber breaks down quickly, I've replaced mine 2 times in a year and now on 3rd one

THIS IS THE BEST HEADLAMP IN THE WORLD, IVE HAD 2 FL85 and i will always have one as an everyday carry, in truck, tool box, home garage everywhere I go ill have my trusty coast FL85 HEADLAMP

The FL85 headlight is a very powerful light. Easy to use allowing hands free work while directing light exactly where you are looking. It also has a lifetime warranty that they honor seamlessly. I am very pleased with the product and performance.

The FL85 is a solid performer in many conditions, with acceptable battery life (3xAAA) in H setting, with L lasting very long. The focus ring enables nearly glare-free wide view and precision spot. The tilting head holds well and is useful for different applications. It is my go-to headlamp and has been used from camping, to night-time snowboard runs and most activities between.
The FL85 is somewhat bulky/heavy, making it cumbersome for long treks or running. At the same time, the 360* reflective headband increases visibility for drivers.
Overall, the FL85 is a high-performing headlamp with good value.

I bought this after listening to the Hunt Back Country Podcast where they compared all of the headlamps and it came out on top. But because it was Coast and not Black Diamond no one wanted to really use it. I use it because it is rechargeable and i carry a battery pack with me into the back woods. All the features are great. Last year I even purchase two more as back ups but different colors to identify. I use one at work and one at home and one stays in my pack. I even got an extra rechargeable battery for the all nighter elk pack out. The strap that is reflective works too. I have loaned mine to guys with out a headlamp and I can see them well from behind with the brightness of the lamp. PS. The battery out lasts all the others in the tests. Congrats you make the best one even if I am the only one using it. Thanks I will be buying more.
