I absolutely love a couple of features of this machinefirst off - that there is an on/off button so that I"m not trying to turn it off by yanking the power cord out of the wall socket - something I hate because of the stress it puts on the wall socket, on the electric motor of the popper and the power cord. I have seen power surges from "cheap" electric devices where you turn them on and off by plugging them in or unplugging them - and then had to rewire the outlet - it's a pain the bum - so finding out that a company has actually taken the time to put an on/off switch onto a popcorn popper - it is one of the reasons I purchased this model! Next - having the cover click in place means when you go to pull the hot butter off the top of the unit to pour it onto your popped popcorn, you don't knock the hood off the unit and either break it when it lands wrong on the counter or floor - Or worse, burn yourself when you knock it off and onto your skin or try to catch it. I've lost more than one great popcorn popper due to the upper hood breaking because it's fallen and broken Since the hood doesn't latch super tight you can still separate it easily for storage which is important to me as I don't have a bunch of extra space - which is why I also love the super slim design - This popcorn popper takes up half the space my old machine does side to side to store - and is a couple of inches shorter so that I'm not having to angle the box to get it off the top shelf of the pantry and out of the door - my old machine I had to find just the right angle or the box would get stuck - This lovely one I can fit the jug of popcorn kernels and box of seasonings next to the popcorn popper where with the old one I had to store them on a different shelf. And while the Dash Fresh Pop Popcorn Maker has a smaller footprint - it produces amazing results - it heats up quickly producing popped kernels fast, pops the entire batch in a very short amount of time for a popcorn maker, and leaves very few old maids (unpopped or partially popped kernels)

Poppity, pop, pop, pop!

Used to love jiffy pop popcorn with the aluminum foil that rose magically on the stovetop as a child. Used microwave popcorn until issues with microwave and salted caramel microwave brand. Switched to popping corn from plain kernels in large kettle on stovetop, but the cleanup, esp if kernels burn is time intensive. Dash makes popping corn and cleanup a snap. Popcorn in a dash!

It was doing nothing bu blowing around the corn then surprise. Wow, does it make it fast and alot. Does taste good without anything on it. Will try the recipes soon. Louder than I thought it would be.
