I have a brand new iPhone 15 and the MagSafe commuter case does not fit properly. And the cover for the charging cord does not stay closed, which defeats the purpose. I returned the case.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is a solid, no frills, phone case. It has a hard back, sides and corners. It is not the slimmest of all cases but it is slimmer than most, it hugs the phone nicely and is secure on the phone when pulling it out of pockets, backpacks, etc. I had the same case for my previous iPhone XR and iPhone 13, and they did well protecting from drops on the phone's sides, corners, and back. Both phones had hard screen protectors from a different, major brand, and both had multiple scratches and scuffing, but no cracks or damage evident on the side in contact with the phone screen. I say this only as reference to how my phones were treated. When I traded in both phones for upgrades, there was no physical damage evident on either phone, while both cases had many scratches, scuffs, and a few gouges (no cracks). I'm not rough on my phones, but I don't treat them with white gloves either. One feature that I like with this case is that it has a cover for the cable port. Although the iPhone is water resistant, the cover provides basic protection against water intrusion from splashes and minor drops in puddles; which did occur a few times with my previous phones and I saw no evidence of water droplets in the phone port. My newest iPhone 15 case is the MagSafe version and it does have a thin magnet on the inside which helps keep the magnetic accessories connected. I have no problems with wireless charging with MagSafe batteries or compatible chargers. The secureness between the phone and a MagSafe compatible stand or car holder (for example) is good but not as solid as I had hoped. That and the color selections are my only gripes, which is why I rated it 4 stars. I think this case is a good bang for the buck, and I recommend it (with a good, reliable screen protector).

This case is sturdy than my last otter box- particularly, the case near the top of the left and right side of the screen is loose/flexible and easily pulls away from the phone/gets caught on things. I expected better from an Otterbox :/
