Good case, terrible screen shield/stand

I have used otterbox products for many years and have relied on the defender series of cases to protect my devices. Overall I am fairly pleased with this case, however I am disappointed with the screen shield/stand. The stand redesign seems ore flimsy and stubborn than before, and I hesitate to use it for fear of breaking the case. In addition there is a sizable chunk of material missing to make room for carrying the Apple Pencil (which I do not have) which leaves a portion of the screen exposed even when the shield is in place. This irritates me a great deal. Again, I don’t know why they did this when the previous case allowed for storage of the Apple Pencil on the underside of the shield.
The I-pad was bought for my 10 year old son. Otter box has been my go to for device protection for years. This one is working great for my son. I recommend otter box for everyone.
The case does not have a front cover to protect the skin when not in use.

Hello! We apologize for any confusion. The Defender Pro Series case for the iPad 10th generation is screenless by design to allow it to pair perfectly with any of our screen protection options for the device. If our Customer Service Team may assist with any questions, please give us call at 1-855-688-7269 and we are happy to help.
I use my iPad on the job site to take progress pictures. I carry it with a lanyard, and you have to take it out of the case , off the lanyard to take photos. There is no camera port on the hard case..

Hello! The case has lanyard capabilities, but it is necessary to remove the shield stand portion of the case when taking photos. Please reach out to our CS Team by phone or via chat with any questions or issues we can help troubleshoot!
Otterbox is no longer good. Case is cheap feeling. The stand is flimsy and enraging to use. It's just bad all the way around. I miss the old cases that had a built in screen protector. I'm done buying Otterboxes. And now the return/refund process is taking like a month to be processed. What a joke this company has become.

No, the stand on this Otterbox is almost Impossible to use. You missed the mark in trying to make it so you didn’t have to remove the back to stand it up. It’s so hard to manipulate the stand, it’s still easier to take the back off. Next time I buy a new iPad, I’ll looked for an alternative

Title: Disappointing and Overpriced: OtterBox iPad Case
Rating: ★☆☆☆☆
I recently purchased the OtterBox iPad case with high hopes of protecting my device from accidental drops and damage. Unfortunately, my experience with this product has been nothing short of frustrating and underwhelming. Here are some of the reasons why I believe this OtterBox case is a disappointment:
1. Poor Build Quality: One would expect a renowned brand like OtterBox to deliver a durable and well-constructed case. However, the overall build quality of this iPad case is subpar. The material feels cheap and flimsy, failing to provide the robust protection it promises. It seems like the case is more focused on aesthetics than actual functionality.
2. Limited Functionality: This case claims to offer convenient features and easy access to buttons and ports. However, the reality is far from it. The buttons are stiff and require excessive force to operate, making the user experience highly frustrating. Additionally, the cutouts for the ports are poorly aligned, making it challenging to connect accessories without removing the case entirely.
3. Bulky and Heavy: OtterBox prides itself on producing rugged cases, but this iPad case takes it to another level. The case adds unnecessary bulk to my iPad, making it difficult to hold for extended periods. Moreover, it significantly increases the weight of the device, which is inconvenient for users who prefer a lightweight and portable iPad experience.
4. Limited Color Options: While this might not be a deal-breaker for some, it is worth mentioning that the range of color options for this OtterBox case is quite limited. If you are looking for a case that matches your personal style or adds a touch of uniqueness, you'll likely be disappointed by the lack of choices available.
5. Overpriced: Perhaps the most frustrating aspect of this OtterBox iPad case is its exorbitant price tag. Considering the lackluster quality and subpar performance, it is unjustifiable to charge such a premium for a product that fails to deliver on its promises.
In conclusion, the OtterBox iPad case is a letdown in almost every aspect. From the poor build quality and limited functionality to the excessive bulk and high price, this product falls short of expectations. I would strongly advise potential buyers to explore alternative options that offer better value for money and superior protection for their iPads.

We're very sorry if the Defender Series Pro case for your iPad (10th gen) wasn't what you were hoping for. However, we've thoroughly drop tested and confirmed this case offers a DROP+ rating 2X the military standard (MIL-STD-810G 516.6). If you're noticing that the buttons on the case are a bit stiff, we find that things will loosen up a bit over time with some additional use, but this case was specifically design to work seamlessly with the unique features of your exact device, so all those buttons, ports, and openings should be perfectly aligned. Is there a chance you received the incorrect case for your device?
If you're looking for a more lightweight case with some additional color options, we'd recommend checking out our Symmetry Series 360 Elite cases. As far as pricing goes, we think the cost of the unit is well worth the high-caliber protection, outstanding customer service, and limited lifetime warranty that all come along with the product. We appreciate you taking the time to share all this feedback with us though. Please feel free to give our friendly Otters a buzz at 1-855-688-7269 with any questions or if you'd like to chat about this some more.
