I've owned several Roborock vacuums starting back with the S4, S5 MaxV, S6 MaxV, S7 MaxV Ultra, QRevo original, and now the S8 MaxV Ultra. This is probably my favorite one yet. It's quiet, has good pickup and mops well, probably better than my S8 MaxV. The only thing that prevents me from giving it 5 starts is the lack of auto detergent dispensing. I also wish the water tanks were larger.
As for the new navigation system (Starlink) it works much better than I expected. The obstacle avoidance for lower items in front of the robot is actually better than the flagships S8 MaxV. I've only noticed a couple instance where the robot took a little longer reestablishing its position after being moved manually. For that case the traditional lidar is quicker.

Can fit under the bed now; more robust with integrated lidar

This robot is amazing. I originally purchased the qrevo master based on a YouTube review. I loved that one but had two issues with it, one that turned out to be a deal breaker. One, it wouldn’t fit under the bed, due to the lidar tower on top. Two, the lidar sensor kicked the bucket within one week of me owning it.
I returned that and was going to give up on Roborock until they released this one.
Great ai mapping, clean app, and most importantly, good thorough cleaning.
Hopefully this one lasts.

Perfect for a Large Home with Kids

I absolutely love the Roborock Robo mop and vacuum ! With kids running around and a large home, cleaning has always been a struggle. But this robot vacuum/mop combo makes it easy. It’s powerful enough to handle everything from our kitchen and living room to the hallways and bedrooms. The suction power is strong enough to pick up hair, crumbs, and dust, and the mop function is great for those inevitable spills and sticky spots the kids leave behind.
It’s also really quiet, so I don’t have to worry about it disrupting playtime or bedtime. I’ve set it on a cleaning schedule, and it goes to work while I do other things. The navigation system is smart enough to avoid obstacles, and it can even clean in multiple rooms without getting stuck.
In terms of maintenance, it’s pretty easy to clean the dustbin and mop cloths. I can’t imagine going back to cleaning manually!

I am a single male messy / neat freak with a dog thats always on the go .I have hard wood floors throughout with large rugs. I have had the Qrevo plus for a month and i have not used my upright or mop since. I have close to 800 ft area that it vacuums and mops with out soaking the rug .
