Bought this hedger so I can use the 24v batteries that came with my trimmer. This hedger is powerful, awesome to use & easy to handle. This thing cuts through 1/4 size branches, vines & bushes with ease.

Unweildy at best

Power is good, able to cut through branches up to 3/4 inch with no problem. Battery run time is good. You have to be at least a couple feet away from a small hedge to trim it though since there is no way to use without telescoping to 6 feet minimum. Weight on this is also pretty ridiculous. Would recommend regular hedge trimmer unless you have 10 foot tall hedges
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So easy to use! The trimmer is lighter than expected, allowing me to accomplish a lot of work in a short amount of time. I am actually looking forward to trimming up the rest of the plants in my yard that are long overdue for a good shaping-up. I have not yet re-charged the battery, as I have only used it for about an hour of run time.

Both of my older corded extendable hedge trimmers of different brands were hard to reposition and stopped working. I already had a Greenworks extendable battery operated pole saw and that tool is so awesome that I purchased the adjustable battery operated Greenworks hedge trimmer and it is so much easier to adjust than the previous hedge trimmers. I can trim the top of 8' bushes easily. It looks like the tool would be heavy, but it isn't even holding it above my head. What used to take me 45 minutes dragging around the cord trimming the bushes in the front of my house now takes only 20 minutes with the Greenworks battery operated hedge trimmer. Since I already had the battery for the pole saw I didn't have to buy another battery for the hedge trimmer and the battery lasts easily through all my residential hedge trimming without having to recharge the battery. I was also very impressed with how long the battery charge lasted to cut tree limbs with the GWs pole saw.
Tall weeds were growing up in my garden around my blueberry bush and the hedge trimmer made it look like the weeds were cut with a lawnmower.
I never want to go back to corded yard tools.
Good job Greenworks in helping us get yard work done quicker and getting on with our lives.
