I was very disappointed as I own many Greenworks products this one was really not up to par with anything else I've used as it took me a long time to set up, got stuck in the dirt a lot even after I setup the No Go Zone which didn't work right. It kept hitting into my fence, my walls and I followed the mapping program many times. There needs to be a lot better Q&A with this product before it was put to market. The mower would have errors generated and these weren't sent the phone, I had to look at the screen on the mower and I didn't even know to look there at first. I can't be a person who pays a company to test their product for free. Very disappointed.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about 2 weeks ago and hooking up was fairly straight forward, though directions were lacking. After several trials of different maps, I finally hit on a map that worked fairly well. My yard is .25 acres and it takes the mower about 8-10 hours to complete mowing. The mowing width is only 8" so it takes awhile to mow the yard, but it does look good when complete. I have had a couple of occasions where the mower starts the yard, goes back to charge and then forgets to finish mowing. I like the end product (ie- the yard is mowed completely most of the time and does look amazing when complete), but not always reliable and has gotten stuck a couple of times and has had to be carried back to the charging station. The mower lacks power or intelligence to overcome small obstacles (eg- a 1" sidewalk elevation or elevated irrigation box gives the mower great difficulty and can get the unit stuck). Given the low price, I am satisfied with the unit, but not overwhelmed with its performance. As this is a new product and software updates are still coming, I am hoping over time I will be more impressed with this unit. The phone app is good, but sometimes is slow or fails to shows portions of yard mowed; provides no history of mowing activity. For someone looking to purchase, you may want to look around for a more powerful and proven product.

Hello Barry33. Thank you for sharing such a detailed review. We appreciate the balanced feedback and are glad to hear the mower is delivering a well-cut lawn when it completes its runs. Based on what you have described, a few operational factors may help improve consistency. For RTK and vision-based mowers, initial mapping is often the most important step, and it can sometimes take a few refinements before the system fully optimizes coverage for your yard shape. If the mower is occasionally returning to charge but not resuming the full job, we recommend checking that the mowing schedule and zone are fully saved in the app and that the “resume after charging” or continuation setting is enabled, as this can impact completion behavior. Regarding the areas where the unit gets stuck, this model is designed for relatively even terrain, and small elevation changes like raised edges or irrigation boxes can occasionally interrupt navigation. In those cases, marking exclusion zones or adjusting the boundary path slightly in the app can help reduce interruptions and improve route planning. We also appreciate your feedback on the app performance and mowing duration. Since this is a newer product line, software updates are continuously being released to improve navigation efficiency, mapping accuracy, and activity tracking features. We are glad to hear you are satisfied with the cut quality overall, and we appreciate your patience as the system continues to evolve. If you would like, our team can also help review your map and settings to help improve runtime efficiency and reliability in your specific yard layout. I love all of my greenworks outdoor power tools : chainsaw, lawn mower, leaf blower, snow blower, hedge trimmer, and string trimmer, so I was super excited to order the AI Mowbot C40. Unfortunately, it has been a huge disappointment. The app is extremely glitchy, the communication between the app and the robot is unreliable ( had to reset the mower at least 15 times, on the phone with tech for a long time many times), and the mowing patterns make no sense. It will spend 20 minutes in a tiny area going in every direction randomly. It also fails to recognize obstacles like trees either bumping straight into them or circling around them repeatedly. The AI software is simply not up to the task. The only thing I want to do right now is put it back in the box and ship it back. I'll never get those 10 to 12 hours of setup time back.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this a month ago, and the initial setup was cumbersome. Unfortunately the instructions lacked any guidance on setting up the cutting area - once you walked it though the yard, you can't modify the zone - for example splitting it into multiple cutting zones. So I have to go back and do it all over again. The battery only lasts for 90 mins or less, so it is constantly going back to the dock to recharge. My 10,000 sqft lawn takes about 8 hours to cut with all of the charging. Not what I was expecting. It isn't terribly expensive so no big complaint there. BUT the app is horrible. I do a 'quick mow' and radio silence from the app. No notification when it is charging, can not remotely see what has been done once it is in the dock and after it is complete, no notifications that it is complete. No history of the most recent mow, nothing. I am hoping they will spend more time improving the app so that it is at least comparable to most of the robo-vacuums out there. It seems to cut ok and time will tell how durable the machine will be. As an example - right now the mower is off line because something happened during the last mow - all I get is offline. No error reporting, no last action performed, it can't even tell me the last location where it was. I had a robe vacuum get hung up under a bed, and the battery died. The app told me where it was 'last seen' so I could easily find it.
Pros: Quiet, Environmentally Safe

Hello forty-two. Thank you for the detailed feedback, we understand how important app functionality and runtime are to the overall experience. For setup, the cutting area can be reconfigured by resetting the boundary and re-mapping the yard, which allows you to redefine zones more accurately. During mapping, taking a slower, consistent path and clearly defining section breaks can help improve coverage. Regarding runtime, frequent returns to the dock can be influenced by grass height, terrain, and cutting settings. Lowering the cutting frequency per session or starting with a shorter initial cut can help improve efficiency. For the app concerns, we recommend ensuring the mower and app are both updated to the latest firmware/software version and that the unit maintains a stable Wi-Fi connection. If the mower shows as offline, checking the dock power, Wi-Fi signal strength, and restarting the unit can often restore connectivity. We appreciate your feedback on notifications and mapping features, this is being shared with our team as we continue to improve the app experience. If you would like, our success team can walk through setup and connectivity troubleshooting in more detail. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The app notifies you only that blade current is excessive when the bot is really just stuck. Someone should update the code. Also, add in a reset function to clear errors.

Hello Tony123. Thank you for your detailed feedback, this is very helpful, especially with a newer platform like the AiMowbot Wire-Free RTKVision Robotic Mower C20. What you are seeing with the “blade current excessive” message is tied to how the mower interprets load conditions. The system monitors electrical current draw at the blade motor, and when it detects resistance above a threshold, it triggers the alert you are recieving. This can happen not only from thick grass or debris, but also when the unit is physically obstructed or stuck. To help reduce these alerts and better interpret them we have shared some troubleshooting suggestions: 1. Check for obstructions around the blade (grass buildup, small sticks, uneven ground). 2. Review mapped zones and no-go areas to prevent tight or problematic navigation paths. 3. Ensure cutting height is not set too low for current lawn conditions. 4. If the mower stops in the same area repeatedly, it may indicate a terrain or mapping constraint rather than a blade issue. We will share your feedback to our product and app development teams. We appreciate you posting a review for this uint, it is the kind of real-world insight that helps improve the experience for all users. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow! Game changer so far. I live in a suburb of Dallas, Texas and have a hybrid Bermuda grass. I’m on .56 of an acre. I take a lot of pride in my yard and like to keep my grass cut as short as possible through the year, usually 1.5” of shorter. That requires that I mow at minimum twice per week or I’ll totally scalp the lawn. Inevitably, by mid season I have to raise the mower to avoid scalping because I simply cannot keep up with the amount of mowing required. Then I spend half of my Saturday on the lawn Instead of swimming or playing with the kiddos.
I was skeptical at first that this would be the solution. It took me a few times to get everything set up properly. The App did give me a few issues early on, but I finally figured it out, and have been running the mower every other day and it’s seriously saving hours and hours a week and the grass look amazing. Anyone looking to keep a beautifully short Bermuda grass lawn, this is an awesome cheat code.
Few pointers I learned during setup. 1. Make sure the antenna and charging station have good WiFi connection. 2. When initially creating the map of each section of your lawn, don’t get too greedy. When I first created the map I had it basically up against my fence and stone planter edges. I also had it going in steeper dips. The mower ended up getting stuck each time when set out to mow resulting in me having to go out and rescue it. That’s not sustainable so I remapped and gave it a couple feet buffer. Now it has no problem covering over 90% of the grass. I can handle the 10% it doesn’t reach no problem. 3. You have to create the paths between each mowing section. 4. If a tree or other obstacle is in question, error on the side of creating a “no go” zone. Will save time and avoid getting stuck later.
Overall, I’m pumped with this tool. It will save me probably 6 hours a week and my lawn will look better than if I was mowing it myself twice per week.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the Greenworks AIMowBot Wire-Free RTKVision Robotic Mower C20 for a little while now, and overall it’s been a positive experience. The initial setup was a bit tedious and required some patience, especially getting everything mapped correctly and dialed in. That said, once the setup process was complete, the mower has worked smoothly and consistently.
The RTK mapping feature does a great job of learning the layout of my yard, and once it’s locked in, it maintains clean, consistent mowing patterns without needing constant adjustments. It’s been a big time-saver and has kept my lawn looking well-maintained with minimal effort on my end.
One key tip: do not move the base station or the antenna after you complete setup. Keeping everything in the same position is critical for maintaining accuracy and avoiding the need to remap the yard.
Overall, once you get past the setup phase, it becomes a reliable, hands-off solution that does exactly what it’s supposed to do.
