[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For years I had put off buying a hedge trimmer—I didn't want to have to fool with a gas-powered or electric one. When I saw that Greenworks offered a battery-powered tool, I ordered it right away. A few months ago I purchased a Greenworks mower and a Greenworks string trimmer and was very pleased with both. They all work like charms.
Pros: Convenient, Easy to Use, Environmentally Safe, Effective
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first hedge trimmer and I’m glad it was a greenworks unit. I have one of their leaf blowers and that hasn’t disappointed me as well.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased the 24V 20" Cordless Battery Hedge Trimmer, and after several uses, I am thoroughly impressed with its performance and convenience. Here's my detailed review:
Performance The 24V motor provides ample power for trimming a variety of hedge types, from light ornamental bushes to denser shrubbery. The 20" blade length is ideal for covering a large surface area efficiently, making quick work of even the most overgrown hedges. The dual-action blades cut smoothly and cleanly, significantly reducing the time and effort needed compared to manual trimming.
Battery Life The included 2.0Ah battery offers a reasonable amount of runtime. In my experience, I was able to trim my medium-sized garden twice on a single charge. For larger projects, having a second battery on hand would be beneficial, but for most residential users, the battery life should be sufficient. The charger is also quite efficient, bringing the battery to full charge in about an hour.
Design and Ease of Use The cordless design is a game-changer, providing complete freedom of movement without worrying about tangled cords or finding a nearby power outlet. The hedge trimmer is lightweight and well-balanced, which reduces fatigue during extended use. The ergonomic handle provides a comfortable grip, and the safety features, including the dual-switch mechanism, ensure that the trimmer operates only when you intend it to.
Build Quality The build quality is solid, with durable materials that can withstand regular use. The blades have stayed sharp through multiple uses, and the overall construction feels robust enough to handle occasional drops and bumps.
Value for Money Considering the performance, convenience, and build quality, the 24V 20" Cordless Battery Hedge Trimmer offers excellent value for money. The inclusion of the battery and charger in the package is a definite plus, making it a complete, ready-to-use solution right out of the box.
Just received a cosmetically defective item. A returned saw, possibly? I’m doubtful of it’s quality since it got shipped out despite a blatant arrow sharpied on the product to the defect.

Trimmer and battery are fine (would give 5 stars). Charger arrived half way full. After 2 and half hours of charging was full. Next charge was impossible, I was trying for 4 hours and battery was only 1/3 full. Evidently charger is defective (I hope Greenworks will give me new charger).
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hello Jerzy Achruk,
Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear about the experience you have encountered with this battery / charger. Here are a few troubleshooting suggestions to check out. 1) When the battery is inserted, the light should begin flashing green to indicate the battery is charging. If this light is not igniting or is flashing red, this may indicate an issue and we would be interested in hearing more about this. If the light simply goes solid red, try removing the battery and unplugging the charger for about 10 minutes and place them both indoors in a room temperature setting, as this might indicate the battery is at the incorrect temperature to be charged. 2) Ensure that the battery has been fully inserted into the charger. Sometimes this requires a firm push into place to make sure that it has been properly seated. 3) Try resetting the charger. To do this, simply unplug it for approximately 10 minutes and then plug it back in and try reinserting the battery. If the charger has been plugged in for extended periods of time, this can sometimes cause the charger to malfunction. Should you continue to experience a problem with the battery / charger, please contact us at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS). All we ask that you have access to the battery and charger so that we can complete troubleshooting with you and gather necessary unit information.
