So frustrating the blades fall out every time i use the shaver. It gets dislodged then i have to open it up and use tool to put it back in only to fall out again. This was a shaver i have used for about 3 years now and will be looking elsewhere now.

The RQ12+ turns your high end razor into a 20 dollar razor. My year old RQ12 provides better results. Complete FAIL by the company.

Please bring back the original RQ12

The new RQ12 does not work for me... The space between the rings and the ladder steps shaped V-track rings grab on my skin as I move around my face (I shave dry). The old design was a lot more efficient, as there was no empty space in the center of the head, between the blades. I now have two 1290s that are useless. I used to keep one at home and one for travel, but now I can't find the original blades for them unless I want to pay premium prices to independent retailers online. I also tried the new 7700 series with the blue rings. It is a little better, but the space between the rings and the sharp edges under the rings are very uncomfortable when it gets stuck on my skin. Please return to the original design, Philips! No empty space between the heads.
Pros: no need to replace entire head just blades
Cons: rough edges on the rings makes tthem uncomfortable, empty space between rings grabs to skin

Not the same design as the original head. Cheap plastic inside to hold cutter in place. Used it a week and one cutter will not stay in place. Waste of money, as I'm sure that I would have to buy a whole new head for a 10 cent part.

Cheap Redesign

I have owned Norelco Razors for over 20 years and always purchased for the high quality product. Unfortunately, Philips redesigned the shave heads to reduce costs and eliminated the quality it was originally known for in the process. The new RQ12 heads dull quickly, are difficult to clean and sometimes even come apart while shaving. Too Bad as you will undoubtedly lose this market. We know you are focused on healthcare market so just sell the razor business if you do not want to make a quality product anymore.
Pros: razor designs still good
Cons: blades are junk

Awful

Have been shaving with a Norelco razor for 20 years. Bought the 1290X and loved the shave. Recently replaced with the RQ12+ and it turned my high-end razor into a piece of junk. Uncomfortable, not a close shave - awful. Additionally, my 1290X does not fully charge and has not since I bought it. Could overlook that with a close comfortable shave but now? I am shopping for another brand razor - NOT Norelco.
It is very overpriced and the refill is expensive. not worth the price paid. when my shaver needs a refill again it will go into the trash

I purchased the replacment RQ12+ in August 2015 for my SensoTouch 3D and have regretted it ever since. It takes twice as long to shave, I never feel like I'm getting a smooth shave. You have to take the top cover completely off to clean it, where the old one simply required us to flip the heads in an upright position. It doesn't glide across the face as smoothly as the old RQ12. Please bring the original RQ12 head back or I'm going to switch to another razor brand.
Cons: not as easy to clean as orginal., doesn't provide as smooth of a shave., often misses hairs. takes longer to shave., easy to drop and lose head when cleaning.
