I am 62 years old. I have been using Norelco shavers since I was 17. I have had maybe 8 different models. Never had an issue. My sons use Norelcos. Not anymore for me, I will talk to my sons too. This replacement RQ12+ is terrible. Fortunately for Norelco they won't loose much business from me as I am old, but you guys that are younger look to Panasonic or Braun. Maybe this company will wake up go back to the original head. I doubt it. No more Phillips products for me either.

Why did they change the design....

When i bought this razor it came with a head where the 3 would open up seperatly on a spring it was the most comfortable and incredible shave id ever had.. Now the design has changed. It pulls the hair it tears my face up its noisy and takes twice as long to shave. Not worth the money. Im going to change my brand completely. Its almost as if they know that the guys who bought the original loved it and then philips decided to make a cheaper head. Not a lot of people will change to a new brand because of the original price that was payed for the razor...shame...shame.
Pros: none
Cons: pulls hair, noisey, takes longer to shave.

Not like the original rq12 blades

I have the norelco 1250x sensotouch 3d and really love the original blades it came with. Stretched it out and was able to use it for 2.5 years. Finally decided to get new replacement blades since the original is no longer available and I am not a big fan. It does the job don't get me wrong but I find myself shaving more frequent. It just doesn't get as close and as smooth even with a wet shave. I wish they kept original design. I might just get a whole new shaver and try something new from Norelco as long as they don't revise the blades again I will be a happy camper. Bring back the original RQ12 replacement blades PLEASE!!
Pros: fits 1250x just fine
Cons: not as close a shave as i'd like, shave more frequent with this replacement blade

First time/last time user of Philips shaver. It worked well for the first year and now it is time to replace the head and I can't find a replacement head. I'm very discouraged about the prospects of using the newly designed replacement head after reading the unfavorable reviews...are you planning on bringing back the original head style???. Going back to competitor.

Cons: can't find replacement head.

The original cutting head was EXCELLENT, the replacement RQ-12+ DOES NOT last nearly as long, AND they are almost impossible to find in a store, I've NEVER been so dissatisfied with a product because of product support, I've used Norelco shavers for 30+ years, but NO more. Signed Completely Disgusted

The original heads that came with my razor were incredible. Fast shave, quiet and would cut super smooth without pulling. These replacements are nkthing like the original. Painful noisey takes twice as long to shave and nowhere near as close. Cheap replacement from the original. My old ones heads would open seperatly on a hinge and they were much easier to clean also.
Cons: pulls, noisy, not a close shave.

On this website, and all other online stores, people are complaining about this head, and want to purchase the previous RQ12/50 replacement head. So many users have said this fact, and I am even thinking about repurchase another razor, just want to get the head. Philips need to do something about it.

RQ12 Pro is TERRIBLE

Have had my current Philips Norelco razor for at least 3 years and have replaced the heads every year with the RQ12. For 2018, when I needed new heads, the only option for replacement was the RQ12 Pro, and what a disappointment! The new heads' performance is not even close to the old, and after several attempts to adapt, I've shelved the RQ12 Pro heads for my two year old RQ12 heads. Despite being two years old, the old heads provide a better shave in all aspects. Avoid this product if you can! I am considering my options in other brands unless Philips Norelco can provide a replacement original RQ12 (not the RQ12 Pro).

Cons: inferior shave quality compared to old heads
