Much worse performance than the original heads that came with the razor

I now own the 1250x and initially loved the close shave. Best I had ever had.
As for the new RQ12+ shaving head, it wears out in two months and the shave is horrible.
Bring back the old RQ12 replacement heads.

Impossible to find a decent replacement head

I will not repeat everything that everyone else has already said. I keep going back to my old shaver head because it still does a better job than the newer version. I try not to skip a day of shaving to avoid the longer hairs. I also shave in the shower using Trader Joe's Moisturizing Cream Shave HONEYMANGO Aloe Vera/Vit E. This is a very thin cream (not foam) that really makes your face slick and it only takes a little to do the job.
Pros: it fits the shaver.
Cons: it is not a good replacement head.

Far Inferior to the Original

I can only echo what most of the other reviewers have stated. This replacement head is hugely inferior to the original and even earlier model replacement heads. Cheaply made, dulls after only a couple of months and requires far more passes to achieve a decent shave. I have used Norelco shavers since high school. I am now in my late 60's and regretfully will be looking to another brand for my next shaver.

What lousy replacement heads! Originals flipped open for cleaning. Not the replacements! Cheap plastic parts. Not cheap plastic price and certainly not what I expected given the price and quality of the razor in the first place!!! Wow. Just wow. Replacement heads next time? Forget it. I’m going shopping for a different brand of razor.
Cons: totally different design from original

HAVE MODEL 1250X. IT USE TO SHAVE REAL GOOD. THE REPLACEMENT HEADS THAT ARE BEING USED NOW DO NOT COMPARE WITH THE ORIGINALS. PLEASE GO BACK TO THE ORIGINAL SHAVING HEADS. ALSO CANNOT FIND THE REPLACEMENT HEADS( RQ- 12) IN ANY STORES.

Blades are dull after just 4 months of use

The RQ12+ replacement head is far inferior to the RQ12/62 head that came with my 1280CC razor. The original head lasted more than a year and gave smooth close shaves. Not so for the RQ12+ replacement head. Although easier to clean the RQ12+ blades become dull very quickly. I've tried purchasing the RQ12/62 head, but retailers are charging more for those heads than what I paid for the razor.
Phillips-Norelco used to represent quality products. Not so based upon this product.

A step backwards

Having used Norelco razors for 8 years, I have been pleased with the performance of the units. I buy a new set of blades every 11 months and, regrettably, purchased a set of RQ-12 PRO blades four months ago.
The shave I get from these blades are nothing like what previous blade styles delivered. I have tried moving v-e-r-y slowly and I have tried pushing the razor into my skin, all to no avail.
Cons: shave quality is not like prior blades

The original product with the original heads worked great, the replacement head is worthless.

I've had my razor for 3 years, i used the original head for 2 of those years. I shave my head and face daily so i put more ware on it than most. Towards the end of the first two years on the original head i noticed the shave wasn't as close and it took longer to shave my head and face. Much longer. So i purcgased the rq12+ head to replace the original. It was only slightly better than my to year old very used original rq12 head. I was able to shave with it for 9 months before i had to stop it off frustration because of the poor shave and how much time it takes. I refuse to buy another product from norelco because of the expense and disappointment i experienced with this one. To sum it up. The replacement heads rg12+ are about as good new, as a 2 year old very used original head rg12. Don't buy this product or the the replacement. They aren't worth the money. Norelco, the only way to fix this is to come up with a head that shaves as well as the original that doesn't cost as much as we paid for the whole original unit.
Pros: loved the original configuration
Cons: expensive initial costs, expensive replacement heads, the good head is discontinued, the only razor head you can but is garbage
