RQ12 Plus replacement blades are a bad buy

Got a poor shave with the first try. I won't bother to repeat what's described in the previous unsatisfactory reviews. What is really serious here is that a product this poor, with such a large user base got out the door! It indicates a systemic problem from management, design, quality assurance, test, to marketing. I'm sorry to say that the seriousness of this problem indicates that Philips has gone the way of old, successful companies that have forgotten the importance of their customers. It's been a long run, but goodbye Philips!

Loved my 1250X until the RQ12+ blades

The original blades where much better. I highly recommended the shaver to friends. With the new replacement heads the shaver is just not that good anymore. It pulls, gave me razor bumps on my neck, and did not shave a close as the RQ12 did. Even though the RQ12 was about a year and a half old it still out performs this replacement.
Not sure why they "improved" the original RQ12.
Cons: razor bumps, pulls

I have had the 1250X shaver for a number of years now. I tried this newest version replacement blade and it sucks compared to my years old original RQ12. Please bring back the original design.

Bring back the original replacement head

I love to shave my husband. I was so happy with the old Norelco RQ12 heads and so very unhappy with the replacement blades. Doesn't shave well at all and the heads don't come apart so the inside can be cleaned. If the old ones come back on the market I will keep the razor. If not it's going in the trash. I don't have time to go over and over and over and never reaching a really close shave.
Pros: the razor itself is great
Cons: the replacement blades are horrible

Terrible product design

I can only assume that the product mgr for the replacement head must have been female as only a woman could possibly be satisfied with the shave. This RQ12+ replacement head is a piece of junk. I do assume it will be tough to go back to original head design, but as a possible solution could you not just sell the original blades to fit into the head. I'd be willing to pay the same price as I paid for the whole head. The original shaver (1280X) was the best shaver I have owned and it is to Norelco's discredit and lack of concern for it's reputation not to solve this terrible design error.

New head with very poor design

I'd just bought this shaver on July 2014. One year after, I needed to change the remplacements. Buy they was changed with other design. Finally, I decided to buy the new re designed head. But, now one plastic clip (the orange thing) loosed one pin. So, It let the head to spin without any support. I visited today the dealer. He explained me that this clip doesn't do anything. Also, He recommended me not to remove this clip. He suggested only clean with water. In addition, He explain me that there is not guarantee for this product. Because, It is just plastic made. Sincerelly, the ancien desing was more sturdy and rigid. the pressure is better applied. I wonder if Phillips will raise a recall for this product, I noticed that me is not the only dissapointed user. please do something a patch, return to your original design, etc.
Pros: motor is good charge life whaterproof look.
Cons: orance clips.

This replacement to the original RQ12 is junk. Terrible shave. Very disappointed in Norelco. My cheap travel razor gives a more comfortable and closer shave than this thing. In the process of looking for a replacement razor. Basically have a very expensive paperweight now.
Posted a similar review on Amazon like a lot of others that think this is the worst move Norelco ever made.
Pros: none
Cons: everything about this replacement blade is a con

Good shave but far too difficult to clean

I resisted buying this replacement head for more than a year, preferring the non-genuine versions of the earlier model. I finally gave in and bought the RQ12+. It does give a good shave but cleaning it, and getting the heads back together, is an absolute nightmare. Why Philips makes customers work so hard to clean these heads is a real mystery. The old ones were much easier to clean. I am persevering but I will not buy another. I will replace the razor instead and it will not be a Philips. I want something easy to clean.
