Extremely poor replacement for RQ12 shaver heads

Unbelievably poor quality replacement head. Quality of the shave is poorer, and causes more irritation than the original RQ12 head because it requires several passes to get a close shave. Noisier, and does not glide over the face as smoothly. The original RQ12 head had much more articulation and therefore adjusted to the face much better, the RQ12+ replacement is clearly made much more cheaply than the original RQ12, yet offered at a premium price. I am also told that there is no alternative replacement, so I am now left with a very expensive paperweight. Very, very disappointed in Norelco, will no longer be a customer after this.
Cons: expensive, doesn't shave as well as original, cheaply made lower quality materials

Poor replacement for RQ12

Bought this as a replacement for my Sensotouch 3D.
This cheaper version of the original RQ12 is an inferior product by far. Much harsher on sensitive areas and not nearly as smooth a result.
Will keep using the original until it becomes unusable and then perhaps try another brand

A complete and frustrating failure of components

Within 6 months I've gone through 3 replacement shaving heads. The first components to fail are the plastic orange rings which hold the screen and the blade in place. Once one fails, the other 2 follow quickly thereafter. I've not found where I can order replacements for the orange rings. A shame as Norelco products were, at one time, pretty darned great. I've been a user of their electric razors for 30+ years and will be looking for a new brand, soon. Sorry to see the quality deteriorate.
Cons: cheap plastic bands fail to hold blades in place

THIS IS THE BIGGEST PIECE OF GARBAGE THE ORIGINAL HEAD CUTS THIS ONE RIPS NORELCO PLEASE GO BACH TO THE ORIGINAL HEAD FOR THE 1255X

The original shaving head on my 1250X was absolutely great the best shaver I ever had.
This one is just horrible. It pulls, it hurts your sking and it doesn't shave properly.
I'm still using the orginal RQ12 head which after many years is 100 times better that this replacement.
Don't you see your customers' reviews? We hate this product.
Please, bring back the original RQ12.

very poor shaving quality compared to prior norelco's

S9000 2 yr old newer heads are poor quality. I am 72 years old and have been a Norelco customer for over 55 yrs. Declining quality in last 2 shavers, especially the flimsy heads. I own the cleaner machine, trimmer , cleaner solution. Will be force to look at another brand if these reviews do not change for the better. Plastic ring in which the heads sit broke and I glued it together . Guess I need to buy a whole shaving head similar to SH90/62.

I have used Philips/Norelco razors for forty years and I must say that I am disappointed with the performance of this shaver head and with the SensoTouch 3D 1250X. I find that I must run the shaver over the same spot several times, particularly on the jaw line, to achieve a clean shave. Though familiar with Philips/Norelco shavers, with this shaver head I am constantly trying to adjust the pressure and stroke on my face to achieve the desired results. This shaver head truly makes shaving a chore.

Replacement blades are garbage.

I have been using morello razors for years. I have had the sensotouch 3D for several years. Original blades were great and lasted a long time. The latest replacement blades are garbage. They dulled in two months of use. The razor makes more noise using these blades as well. I have stopped using the razor altogether. I am through with norelco.
