My complaint is with the Smartclean system that came with the shaver when purchased 3 years ago it has now failed for the 3rd time in 3 years.
Pros: easy to hold
Cons: smartclean stops working., no cutter height
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Original Replacement heads discontinued

I finally decided to replace my head which was still shaving comfortable and close... I the rq1250 + has left me wishing I never bothered and hadn't thrown out the original Far less comfortable and the first thing that I noticed right away was how high pitched and Winny much louder it was
Cons: change to head design.

The RQ12 is the worst performing replacement head I've ever used

I had to buy the RQ12 replacement head for my shaver because the original RQ10 head is no longer available for my Arcitec shaver. I've bought three sets of heads, and this last one, the RQ12, is the poorest shaving head I've ever used. It doesn't cut close to the skin at all. After 45 years of shaving with Philips shavers, this is the first time I've been disappointed. Since there is no warranty on Philips replacement heads, I am never buying another Philips.

Bad from day 1

Head falls into pieces, need an engineering degree and close-up glasses to put it back together. Then it falls apart again. I have used Phillips all my life, but hate my sensotouch on a daily basis.

I can't get an acceptable shave. ALso the cleaning unit I purchased is broken.

Pleasantly surprised, shaves neck hairs better

Well I guess I'm going against the grain with a positive review, but after my first shave with the RQ12+ replacement head I found it cut the flat laying neck hairs much quicker than the original RQ12 did. Overall it gave a great shave, just like the original.
I am not looking forward to changing the individual heads because (well it sucks to get old) my fingers and thumbs don't work well on fine motor skills anymore. But I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.
Pros: easier to clean, quicker shave
Cons: will have to change individual heads in a year., special tool to replace heads will get lost.

Charging stand

The only thing that I would like to see improved is the method for charging. If you are traveling the charging stand needs to be protected.
