Terrible replacement head

Original head was fantastic - cut well, cleaned easily, worth the hefty cost. Replacement is cheap, poor technology - takes 5 times as long to get a passable shave. Not oem quality. Will try third party replacement- might'nt be any good either, but at least it won't cost as much for a bad shave.
Pros: doesn't rust
Cons: doesn't shave well.

RQ12 Pro Failed Cost Reduction

Adding Pro to the end of a product should mean it offers increased performance. Instead, the RQ12 PRO is a failed cost reduction, cheapening the head and the blade! Instead of the 2 blade lift and cut system, it offers only one blade. The plastic head is poorly designed. As many have stated, it falls apart during use. I have used Norelco shavers for decades and never had the head flip off while shaving. It appears to only hold together if placed on in only 1 of the 3 directions. The shave is not as close as I was used to with the RQ12+ head, which I attribute to cheapening the blades and removing the lift and cut feature.
I have since replaced my Norelco with a different brand. It offers a much closer shave than the RQ12 PRO head. I still prefer a rotary shaver for the comfort but mine is usable with the RQ12 PRO head.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very poor design

Used to love the shave I got with old blade design.
Replacement head design is TERRIBLE.
Bring back the old one please, otherwise I'll have to go elsewhere for my shaving needs.

The original shaving head on my 1290X was absolutely great the best shaver I ever had.
Don't you see your customers' reviews? We hate this product.
Please, bring back the original RQ12.

This head is useless. It does not shave, it skims over my stubble.
This would have been my third replacement head, but I returned it and am back to using the old head.
Pros: it's philips norelco
Cons: it's philips norelco replacement part

Replacement blades not as good as originals

I did everything I could to buy the correct replacement blades, using correct part numbers etc. I was sent a set of blades that were similar but not the same. The new blades don't shave as well as the original blades and cost almost what I paid for a new razor. This is my second Philips razor and will probably be my last. The new razors kits are fine out of the box but replacing the heads with new ones is not only costly but they don't work as well either.

This replacement head is very difficult to clean. Not nearly as
able for cleaning as the original Shaving head.
In comparison to the original shaving head , it is extremely
different and a real disappointment. With this kind of replacement
I probably will not purchase this model of shaver,,although I loved
the original.
