The RQ12+ replacement head is no comparison to the original RQ12. This new head, in my opinion, is terrible. It feels like it is pulling every hair on my face as I shave and makes my face red. Never had these problems with the RQ12. Please bring back the original!!!!!!! I will have to get rid of this shaver if this continues.
Cons: pulls as you shave, leaves face red and irritated

Shaver series 8000 Shaving heads: RQ12/62
These shaver heads are purported to last 6 months to 1 year....this "replacement" has failed in 3 months! I am back to shaving with razor and shaving foam. VERY DISAPPOINTED in how quick the head dulled up.... like using a "Brush Hog Mower" on my face to rip the whiskers out/off. NO MORE!

This is very terrible. Don't buy this replacement head. It doesn't cut as well as my old head. The heads are wider and doesn't work properly. This is a terrible product. I'm a norelco owner for more than 35 years but now I'll change brand because of these terrible heads

The blades do not shave as close as the original blades. The original blades cut a lot closer. The orange fasteners are cumbersome to remove and fasten.
Cons: poor constructed, original blades cut closer

I bought the 1250X razor because it shaved well and most of all was easy to open and clean.This replacement
head is not a true replacement .It is different and harder to open to clean daily.I wish I could get the original type of shaver head.This is not good for senior citizens.

Everything after the great shave is terrible.
The "SmartClean" device does not clean the whiskers from the shaver. If you get around that, and are willing to rinse the blades and heads under water (not a big deal), you'll be ok until...
You have to change a blade. The package comes with a small orange device that is supposed to be used to seat the blades. After getting two neighbors to try to get it done, I gave up.
After owning many Philips products, and actually having dinner with two Philips executives in Eindhoven, I can't believe the (lack of) design of this product.
Pros: great shave
Cons: everything else!

I tried this new design shaving head for several months and they do not shave close at all. They leave a 12 o'clock shadow. The original heads worked great, and cut close. the replacement heads are HORRIBLE when it comes to shaving, as well as the different design on how you clean the head.
They cut so bad, I went back to using a razor.
Cons: does not shave well

Replace with less quality

The original head on the shaver was better than the replacements. The replacements have a different design. The performance is very low after a month. Not worth the price or frustration of an half shaved face.
Pros: cleaning is good
Cons: poor cutting
