Broil King BBQ covers.

I noticed a consistent negative review of the 68487/67487 particularly in regard to handles. I note that Broil King has responded positively to negative remarks and indicate a follow up . As a consumer who was considering spending the extra dollars for the Broil King cover for my new Baron S490 I am discouraged from doing this. Has Broil King made steps to fix the problem of the manufacture these handles?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this cover three days ago before reading the reviews. After having read all the reviews, both positive and negative, I am hesitant to open the box. I love my Baron 420 and want to protect it so that it will last a long while. But if the cover is not water proof or the handle break off it doesn't give me a sense of security. Should I return it or would you guarantee it?

All Broil King Premium covers come with a triple stitch seam, all weather backing, heavy duty handles on each end, breathable openings on either end, and lock clips to ensure a secure fit. They are water resistant, but not waterproof. Our covers are not designed to sit under heavy rainfall for extended periods of time, or to sit under a snowbank. The Broil King Premium covers come backed with a guarantee of five years, so should customers experience any defects within that time period, they can certainly work with our customer support team! Just ensure to keep a copy of your receipt handy, as a proof of purchase is always necessary for warranty claims. Good Heavy Duty Cover But Inferior Handles

However I spent quite a bit of money on the cover from my grill retailer to ensure it was protected. When I went out to take the cover off the right handle popped off in my hand. After reading the reviews, I guess there are several others experiencing the same problem Our Canadian winters are harsh but for the money I expected this cover to hold up when used in freezing temperatures. The heavy rubber handles were actually an attractive feature of this cover, especially when there is a bit of light snow on the cover.

Poor Quality

Like others I am very disappointed in this cover. The handles on mine ripped off very quickly which was disappointing. One year warranty or not, handles should not be ripping off. A design so simple shouldn't be having warranty issues whatsoever.

When I opened up the package, even my son who is 12 years old mentioned how nice the cover looks. Made out of heavy duty cloth, and when I opened up the package, even my son who is 12 years old mentioned how nice the cover looks. Made out of heavy duty cloth, I like how it stays on the grill nice and tight even in the Chicago winds!
I would recommend this to a friend!
