do not buy.

so let down by this iron. It required a lot of pressure to use to begin with but now it's useless and doesn't heat up fully. I've only had it 7 months and now it's useless. I've used their sewing machines for years but I won't be using their irons ever again.

Beware - iron leaks

I was given this iron for Christmas and loved it for quilting projects. Unfortunately I can no longer use it as it leaks any water put into the reservoir for steam. When sitting it upright all the water will drain our from the end of the stainless steel plate as well as leaking water droplets onto fabric being ironed. I’m very disappointed, and see from reviews this is a problem others have experienced with this iron. Note - I have only used distilled water in the iron.

This iron works really great for my quilting. The point on the iron presses my seams perfect and it never stretches my fabrics. I love how I can leave it on as I’m piecing my quilts as it goes to auto cool down. Then when I’m ready to press my seems I just have to lay iron down to start reheat and it’s ready again to press. It’s just an awesome iron.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Dangerous!

This iron was purchased two years ago. I had it plugged in while doing some sewing in another room and noticed a burning smell. I went to investigate and found it smoking and that it had popped apart and appears burnt inside!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

LEAKS AROUND THE ENTIRE SOLE PLATE

I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED. THIS IRON DOESN'T GET AS HOT AS MY OLD ONE AND AFTER ONLY A FEW USES IT BEGAN TO LEAK AROUND THE SIDES AND EVENTUALLY AROUND THE ENTIRE SOLE PLATE WITHIN ONLY A FEW USES. THE WATER ALSO POURS FROM THE TANK WHEN JUST SITTING ON THE BOARD. IT SOAKED AND LEFT SPOTS ON A NICE DRESS SHIRT AND LEAVES A MESS ON MY BOARD! ALWAYS BEEN PLEASE WITH MY SINGER SEWING MACHINES BUT NOT IMPRESSED WITH THIS IRON.
