I bought this about 3 months ago. Ever since I bought it there has been a burning smell after seconds of use. I ignored this issue since it seemed to do the job quickly and did not affect the taste. However, in the last few weeks, it inconsistently works. Some days it will not start, or will start and then stop working. It stopped working again this morning and still has not resolved, so I find myself searching for a more reliable blender. I gave this product 2 star for that despite the burning smell, it did work good for a couple of months.
Originally seduced by this product's cute design and New York City apartment friendly size, I quickly realized that this product was a high-maintenance roommate. - A thin band of rubber within the blade component detached, and its charred remains were incorporated i.n.t.o my smoothie - my stomach really did not appreciate that - The original blade broke within the first month, so I had to purchase another one - The lid seals so tightly shut that is it IMPOSSIBLE to open - no amount of running it under hot water, waiting, twisting, or employing your strong male neighbors can undo its mighty grasp
Overall, this product has wasted a lot of my money and frozen fruits - which are expensive enough, especially in this post-apocalyptic landscape we're living in. I highly recommend checking out some of this brand's other products because this one is a big loser.
i have used mine every day for two years with no problems. I think I may be due for blades, but that's to be expected. Love it! Great for smoothies and shakes!
I have had my original Magic Bullet for over 20 Years. It has all the extra gadgets which I have used a lot. I also have a Nutribullet which my husband uses the most. The Magic Bullet has always sat on my cabinet. Several years ago, I bought some seals in case I needed them. Never a problem. I have lots of kitchen appliances to chop, blend, and much more. I truly still love the Magic Bullet. It gets used a lot.
