Instant Home Equity for the Advanced DIYer

After researching affordable heating/cooling systems for my 1970's split level ranch and watching numerous YouTube videos I decided on the 18,000 BTU Mr Cool. The installation was straightforward and as long as you have the knowledge, the electrical hook up was easy. The most pleasant surprise was the cost to operate the unit so far this winter.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great unit for price and features

In service for over 8 months and has provided superior and economically based AC and heating for a new enclosed patio of over 900SF

It works adequately after repair

When I bought this unit everyone said it wouldn't last a month. It almost made it a month before the blower motor for the inside unit went out. They sent me another motor right away. No instructions for replacing the old one, however. Needless to say, it's a difficult chore if you are not an ac service tech. If I hadn't found a video on YouTube , I probably could not have repaired it. Very slow response from the company that sold it to me. It was an Amazon purchase filled by someone else. It has worked fine since the repair. But I have no confidence in the unit after it failing in the first month. I wouldn't buy it again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Air works great and heat works great

Very happy with unit but install went very hard made for 2x6 construction not 2x4 if they had flex go into wall and connect inside would have made install a lot easier . Kinked piped trying to bend and had to have friend cut and reconnect pipe . Need thre people to help install 24 k unit

Way better than expected!

Got this for my 2 car and 3 car garage combo shop. It is quiet and maintains temp winter or summer. This is the best thing I have ever done. Wish I had done it years ago!

We hear that "wish I had done it years ago" sentiment a lot! There’s nothing quite like the realization that you don't have to freeze in the winter or sweat through your shirt in the summer just to get some work done.

LOVE IT!

With the crazy hot summers here in Texas, this was a smart investment!! I can actually work in the garage without passing out from heat stroke. Cools off the garage quickly, and I love the articulating discharge. My only wish was there was an option to choose a longer length for the freon lines. It dictates placement of head unit and condenser and required some landscaping outside to hide the condenser from plain view and the HOA.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have had the system for a few months now and living in AZ hasn’t been more comfortable in my garage. The cars stay cooler in the summer and it’s a nice cool place to hang out with friends in the summer months. I haven’t really used the heater portion on it yet but I did turn it in a couple of times and the heat pump works great too. Only took a few hours to install and setup. Very quiet operation when in use. Overall I am very satisfied with the product.
