Why does it have a microphone? Is for a window to look outside. If the purpose is to record outside through a glass window. Why a microphone? I want it for my kids room to and my room. Why would I want to be able to listen inside a room? I have to return it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for sharing your feedback we understand your concerns and appreciate you taking the time to explain them.
The Wyze Window Cam includes a microphone to provide added functionality, allowing users to capture audio along with video. While it’s optimized for recording through glass with reduced glare, many customers also choose to use it indoors to monitor children, pets, or general home activity, where audio can be helpful.
We understand that privacy is especially important in personal spaces like bedrooms. If preferred, the microphone can be disabled in the Wyze app settings. If the Wyze Window Cam doesn’t meet your needs, we completely understand your decision to return it.
If you have not, please reach out to our Wizards team (https://support.wyze.com/hc/en-us) so we may help diagnose the issue or assist with next steps. We’re always happy to help.

The sticky thing that keeps the camera stuck to the window wears off and maybe the cameras too heavy but it falls off. It isn't clear that you don't get saved video like the ring camera

Thank you for sharing your experience with the Wyze Window Cam. We understand how frustrating it can be when expectations around video storage and mounting don’t match your experience, and we appreciate you taking the time to let us know.
Regarding video storage, the Wyze Window Cam does support continuous local recording with a microSD card, allowing you to save video without a subscription. However, cloud-based Event videos (such as motion-triggered clips) do require an active Wyze Service subscription, which can differ from how other brands operate.
For the mounting issue, we recommend ensuring the window surface is thoroughly cleaned and completely dry before applying the adhesive. An extra mounting sticker is also included in the box if the original loses stickiness. These steps can help provide a more secure hold.
If you have not, please reach out to our Wizards team (https://support.wyze.com/hc/en-us) so we may help diagnose the issue and explore possible solutions.
We truly value your feedback, as it helps us improve both our products and how we communicate their features.
We purchased two Wyze Window Cams and are loving the results. The camera is clear and accurate. I was astonished that it recognizes my pets, our animals range from dogs, chickens, and rabbits. It's easily removed and can be used for various purposes.
What an incredible camera! I've tried using a regular Wyze camera in the past, but the glare was just too much. This new camera not only lets you mount it without glare, the night vision is incredible! It looks like daylight even without any moonlight. We can finally see what critters are eating our vegetable garden! I highly suggest you jump on these to add to your collection.
This is my second order of Wyze cameras. The only reason I updated was my internet supplier went to 5g. My old cameras only work at 2.5g. So off I went shopping for a 5g compatible cameras. My choice was the window mount camera, which said go for 2.5g and 4,5 & 6. I need simplicity as I don’t completely understand a how all of this works. I saw the 5 and assumed it meant 5g. Well apparently not! This in my opinion was very misleading. This led me to calling my internet supplier because I used to be able to pick between 2.5 and 5g. They are a 5g only supplier sooo…. They suggested that they set me down 2.5g for half an hour to try sinking my cameras up. I obsoleted my old cameras and eventually deleted my Wyze app. I then began a new account all before contacting my I.S. I now have four useless cameras. Is it my ignorance? I’m following the directions right up to the camera saying ready to connect. That must mean it recognizes the cameras, then nothing. I am so frustrated.
