The U shaped design makes installation easy, and with the wall blocking the noise of the compressor, this unit is extremely quiet. Couple that with a great efficiency rating and smart home connectivity, and you have a great package. Definitely worth the premium you pay.

My old unit was popping fuses (other oem) and replaced it with this one. Love the small opening of the window. It is super quiet compared to the old one. Even on high.

Great Design!

I have a single room darkening shade that covers my three side-by-side windows. A conventional window AC sits high on the window sill therefore letting in quite a bit of morning light. The GE saddle design allows me to lower the shade with only a bit over 5 inches allowing light in which is tolerable for me as I like it darker in the morning. I have a vaulted ceiling in my bedroom and this unit does a nice job of cooling the room.

Why Did I Wait So Long?

Our 1936 house is cold in Winter and hot in Summer.
