Only one flaw

This is the best shredder we have ever had but it is a mess when it is full to get the bag out without getting paper dust and shredded paper falling out on the floor. That is the only complaint. We love the size, the quick way it shreds the paper, ease of use, the flexibility of moving it from one area to another and the way it makes sure it does not Jam. The warranty was another reason we purchased this shredder along with the Manufacturer. We will not purchase any other shredder in the future unless it is a Fellowes.

This is the third shredder that we have used. All the others in comparison were Mickey Mouse shredders that last but a year. One was replaced twice within 6 months by another manufacturer. After that, we decided to stop fooling around and go for Fellowes. While it may seem pricey to some, to us it was a no brainer. When you think of the cost of replacing 3 shredders in 3 years we could have saved the cost and then some and should have went right to Fellowes. My staff many times try to grab handfuls of paper and shred them, this machine handles that - it has never jammed and will reject handfuls of paper. The CD/DVD - Credit Card shredding capability is excellent - tiny little pieces never worry about theft of data. We also like the fact that it shuts down when anything but paper or CD/DVD, Credit Cards touch the slots. Half of our shredding are CD/DVD's the other half paper. The wastebasket handles large size shredding bags and doesn't have to emptied often. When it is full it is full. No need to press down the shredded material to fill the bag. We make shredding runs once a week and the unit will shut down to cool down after about 30 minutes. Good feature that prevents overheating. The shut down lasts approximately 15 - 20 minutes. I recommend this unit without reservation - even for light users. After all, you only get what you pay for; ...and Fellowes has proven to us to be reliable and functional. With what we spent on the other 3 shredders prior to this, we could have bought 2 more units. ...Oh, and did I mention, this unit is extremely quiet - another excellent quality.
