Just What We Needed

This shredder is perfect for our office. Its a sleek design, not bulky at all, and easy to move. It seems very powerful and we are able to shred muliple papers without worrying about a jam. It was a wonderful purchase and I would reccommend to anyone who has constant shredding that needs done.

Bought this shredder when my old one died and parts were not available. Read the reviews and it seemed to have pretty good user satisfaction. So far, it has done a great job on several hundred sheets of paper of varying thickness. Happy so far with the speed, quietness, and size of the waste bin.

Best Shredder Ever

Have had 2 shredders before the 99Ci but both of them failed to perform as advertised and only lasted a short time. The 99Ci performs as advertised and runs quietly and smoothly. Its a pleasure to work with such a fine piece of machinery.

Replaced same model that worked very hard for 10 years!

This is the perfect size and model for a home office where I shred both personal and business junk mail and documents. I had a good 10 years with the last shredder of the same model. I told myself to always buy Fellowes as they were always there to help whenever I had a problem. Three years ago when I thought it was time to get a new one, a wonderful gentleman walked me through some easy steps and I was surprised to see the shredder was working again and lasted another 3 years! The customer service is very helpful, even long after the 2 year warranty is finished. I just unpacked my replacement today and needed to ask a couple of questions about attaching the wheels and registering the new model. There is never a long wait on the phone and the people who answer are easy to understand and very helpful. This new shredder is much more quiet than the older model of the same number. The only thing different is the bin is made of a lighter weight material. This is not a negative thing as it is lighter to pick up and empty. I am keeping my old bin from the 10 year old model as a spare as it fits this newer one. The new shredder does have the small holes on the side to attach the small holder on the side, but the holder is not included with this newer one. I use this to keep extra plastic bags and my oil bottle handy. I just attached the one from my older model and all is well! As I use this every day it is important to me to have a product that is good quality and has great backup help when I need it (which is only about every 7 -10 years of use) No complaints! Literally Best Shredder I've ever owned

I wouldn't go so far as to say it was my Best Purchase Ever, as the example would suggest, but it is by far the best shredder I've ever purchased. It is quiet, the SafeSense feature gives me peace of mind with grandkids running around, and it just massacres paper, credit cards and cds. Best feature?? I don't even have to open the junk mail to run it through the shredder. Just feed the unopened stuff right in.. Great job Fellowes!!

We are happy to hear that you like the features on your new shredder so much! One minor suggestion would be to open junk mail to ensure that there are no sneaky inserts in the envelopes. This isn't as convenient, but we have seen little metal cards and coins that are tough on a shredder and we want you to have your 99Ci for a long time to come!

Rugged machine

This is our second machine. The first on lasted for about 6 years and started having minor problems with jamming. Overall it lasted for about 7 years before we needed to buy a new machine. Near the end of it's life cycle, we had to cut down to about 5 sheets of paper in order for it not to jam. We replaced it with the same machine because we feel that it served us very well and lasted a long time for how often we use it. Brand new it performs perfectly and is very jam resistant.

Cons: cleaning up after emptying.

Fantastic Replacement Choice

I purchased the Powershred 99Ci shredder as a replacement. I expected something comparable to the previous product. I was in for a surprise. The Fellows Powershred far surpassed my expectations. The shredder is quiet, efficient, and I love the safety features. I only regret not making this investment sooner.
