quietest shredder

This shredder replaced our old one. We have owned 3 with this one. This one really surprised us on how soft it sounds. We have tested it with 1 sheet of paper to triple fold credit apps. One time the junk mail was a bit thick , the shredder stop, reversed and finished shredding all by itself. We were in complete awe. NO OTHER SHREDDER WILL BE BOUGHT IN THIS HOUSEHOLD. ONLY FELLOWES FROM NOW ON.

Perfect Papyrus Muncher!

We stay paperless at the house, but (with 3 kids and countless accounts) have a lot of stuff to archive on the NAS and shred. I was tired of wasting time disassembling and cleaing out lesser shredders; and the others fell short when it came time to shred a credit card or CD (I used to keep a box in the car to take to the office shredder).
The 99Ci is exactly what we needed. It chews tirelessly at document after document. It can eat that super-thick salesmail from American Express, AAA and anyone else who thinks a card in the envelope will force you to open it.
It has a page limit, but when it comes to magazines, you can usually just through it in there or, worst case, tear it in half and throw it in.
All the while, when the two year old walks up, I don't even get excited as the sense technology works and keeps fingers safely clear. I'm almost afraid he'll get used to not being corrected and someday find himslef near a lesser shredder.
Staples, CD, DVD, BDR not a problem.
We use the shredded material for shipping and save cost on those static friendly foam peanuts.
Perfect match for a scansnap kind of house or business! Well worth the cost.

I am impressed with this shredder features and looks. It is way better than the other shredder I had before. It rolls with effortless, the safety features is a big plus in my office. This is one of my best purchases.

BETTER THAN MY ORIGINAL

MY FIRST SHREDDER WAS OK FOR AWHILE BUT WAS LACKING IN POWER AND SIZE, SO I GOT THIS NEW ONE AND THERES A BIG DIFFERENCE. THIS SHREDDER IS POWERFUL AND HOLDS MUCH MORE SHREDDED MATERIAL AND HAS SOME NICE SAFETY FEATURES AS WELL.

Love my shredder

I find shredding oddly therapeutic, all the more so with the SB-99Ci. The jam-proof capabilities are very good, though once or twice I've had to toggle it back and forth when I've overloaded paper. At first I thought the basket was a little difficult to set in place after emptying, but if I push it in from the bottom, it clicks into place. It seems durable and well-designed overall, so I expect it will be a good investment.

Its my 2nd one & I love it !

I tried other paper shredders and returned them. This one "hums" and it much quieter than my previous one that "grinded" noise. Other one I tried did not allow for a bag "inside" of the waste bin and when you dumped the bin into a trash bag...it fell everywhere on the floor..had to vacuum to clean up mess! Who has time for this in an office! This DOES have bag liners and you just lift, tie bag and trash it ! I love the "light" that lets you know when "bin" is full ! Anyone who uses a paper shredder everyday in a office, appreciates this features. Just love my new shredder !
