Grandpa Shreds

My 86 year old father-in-law shreds newspaper and proprietary documents almost daily. We use the shredded paper as bedding for our chickens (20) in the backyard. We simply spread the soiled shredded paper on the grass and mulch it and then it disappears as it is biodegradable. The Fellows is the third shredder we have used and just keeps on shredding and almost never jams. The chickens love the shredded paper and are delivering 16-18 eggs daily. We donate 8-9 dozen eggs to the local food back each week.

Great Shredder!

I have used my SB-99Ci for about a month now. It is quiet! No irritating loud machinery and grinding noises like most shredders exhibit. It handles over 10 sheets of paper at a time with no problems whatsover. I haven't tried to max it out yet but about 10 at a time is great for my use. It is stylish and ruggedly built. The front opening container makes it easy to empty. I would prefer a slighly smaller cut size but the current size is OK. I am very pleased with this shredder and recommend it highly.

A "Must Have!"

I'm a math professor and also own a small business, so a reliable shredder is essential. This is the second time I've purchased this shredder model. The first one was loyal, hard-working, and resisted (almost) all of my attempts to overload it. It finally gave up and the last jam could not be fixed. I bought the same model without hesitation and this time purchased the two-year maintenance contract, just in case. :)

Lovely machine ....Pity about the vibration !

I purchased the excellent SB-99i shredder ( my second ), about two years ago.
Unfortunately it has suffered very loud vibrations when shredding, from the moment it was delivered. I regularly oil the cutter system, but the vibrations persist. This is a great shame, because it is otherwise an excellent machine.
I shall try to get Fellowes to advise me how to stop the vibration somehow.

I have been looking around to upgrade my old 5 page shredder. I finally decided to go with a heavy duty shredder. I'm glad I got the SB99Ci. It is very powerful, and won't jam. I do on some occastions have a lot to shred, and this will do the job. I've seen other for less money, and do less pages, but the fellowes name has been around for a long time, and is very dependable. I recommend this to everyone. I use it at home only for my personnal information to shred to protect from I. D. Theft.
