The correct size for a small office

If you have a 12" tall pile of shredding each day, this shredder is for you. Anything less than this size is underpowered. Has a 3 prong plug, which I prefer. Indicator lights to stop you from accidentally feeding too much paper at one time. Is quiet. I'm not crazy about the clear plastic flip feed thing for CD-Roms but I guess they want you to feed them dead center and that helps. Its thick enough but I'm just afraid of breaking it. I'd rather it be a separate feed slot that leads to the same place.

Best Purchase Ever

Have only had this shredder for a short time but it was purchased to replace another Fellows shredder that we had that had worn out from many, many years of every day use. This one operates quietly and we are looking forward to many years of service.
Pros: Quiet Operation, Safety Features, Jam Resistance

problem closing door

I bought this machine in July 2013. It is heavy duty, jam proof, etc. The problem I have is the door is hard to close and the casters have broken twice. Fellowes was excellent in replacing the body the first time but now they have broken again. Initially I thought it was because I moved it on carpet but this time it is on solid material, not carpet. I believe the problem is that I cannot close the door without a strong push and that jars the machine and breaks the plastic material holding the casters in place. I am wondering if there are any heavy duty machines with a metal body holding the casters or is something wrong with my door.

Hums... Very quiet shredder.

Very pleased with the shredder. It was purchased as a replacement after we 'killed' the old one. I was pleasantly surprised with how quiet the unit is when shredding and with its ability to shred a reasonable stack of papers smoothly. I do wish that there was a more secure way to attach the included bags in the bin as the paper pushes the bag edges down as it fills the bin even with the plastic 'pegs' on the front corners.

Great Shredder

I just got my new shredder about 5 days ago. I had a back log of documents to shred. Fully filled the shredder basket about twenty times in ten to 1 fifteen minute sessions with plenty of cooling time. I over loaded the shredder several times, but it automatically recovered with no problem. It really is Jam proof and works well.

Great for small office

With only 3 people in our office, we have a multitude of shredding due to the ever-changing laws regarding personal security. This is the perfect size and has the durability to handle what we have to shred. I recommend it for small to medium office size (up to 7 people, I would think).

Jam Proof

Purchased in March and being used ever since. Truely jam proof. If the shredder is struggling to shred the paper because too much was put in, the lights go up to top page amount and it stops. Also you can put a plastic bag in and the shreded paper falls right into the bag. Clean up is easy. Just remove the filled bag and insert a new one. Mess free! It's great. Can also shred credit cards and cds. Best shreder ever! Has great warranty compared to other brands.

does not jam but needs to be placed into reverse frequently. Before purchase, called company & asked if it does newspaper & was told yes. However, in the booklet, it says not to use on newspaper.
