I have only owned this shredder a few weeks. I replaced a Royal shredder that I used frequently but it finally died..after close to 8 yrs. As soon as I unboxed this beast I promptly ran 2 banker boxes stuffed full of outdated receipts and personal papers (approx. 18-20 lbs. of material) non-stop. This shredder never missed a beat...never shut down and never jammed. I'm extremely pleased with this purchase at this point...Remember that you get what you pay for and this was money well spent.

Excellent shredder

This shredder is fast and reliable with bags that hold plenty of shredded paper. This is replacing a smaller Fellowes shredder that broke; we decided to get a good one that would last instead of the ones from Costco.
Pros: Sheet Capacity, Quality Construction, Shreds Credit Cards, Staples and CDs, Safety Features, Jam Resistance
Cons: Mess Reduction, requires special bags and oil

Brought this item to replace a smaller Fellowes model. This item is so much better. Shreds with ease and makes getting rid of enormous amounts of old documents so much easier. Love it!!!

This is my second Fellowes shredder. Last one was acquired in 1989 as Surplus US Government property. Machine passed on to Shredder Heaven this last weekend after 25 years of faithful service. What a change with the new shredder... Fast, Quiet & Powerful. Same quality as expected from Fellows.

Love my new shredder

Love that I can shred several sheets without jamming. Also it is very quiet. Was helpful that the book told me that the oil was just cooking oil (not the spray kind).

Bought this as a replacement for my old Mailmate junk mail shredder. Super quiet shredding. Strong enough to eat car bumpers. Good looking enough to be a piece of furniture.

One step above our former shredder(Fellowes) which was great. Love how quiet this model is and the fact we can put in additional papers at the same time without it jamming. The safety fixture that has it turning off if small fingers get too close is an added bonus. Have not discovered a negative on this machine.
