I bought this topper to go over my (non Tempur-pedic) memory foam mattress. My current mattress was too soft for my me--causing uncomfortable hip pain 24/7--and I figured this mattress topper would be firm enough to help get rid of the hip pain. I was wrong. This topper made my hip pain exponentially worse. I ended up giving my king size memory foam mattress and memory foam topper to my 9 year old. (He absolutely loves the topper and the mattress, but he's 30-something years younger than me. He doesn't have aches or pains anywhere.) I was very disappointed in this memory foam topper. Very. *If I sleep on my queen size guest bed, my hip pain goes away in less than 24 hours. My guest bed has a much firmer memory foam mattress--but I had the king size version of the same mattress. Odd, I know, but true.*
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love it because it feels like you're sleeping on the cloud but I also hate it because it makes me want to stay on the bed all the time. I'm a fan of this brand and have the bed since about 18 years and is still confortable. I recommend this product 100%

I got the 3" topper. When I first lie down, it feels super firm, which I like, but then it does its extraordinary thing of softening up just the right amount in just the right places. Starts out good and winds up perfect.

Purchased the topper to buy some time to save up for an actual tempurpedic mattress and let me tell you it is a game changer. I've never slept so well and felt so rested when I wake up. Definitely buy if you want to make less of a financial commitment than a mattress but still wish to feel the dream of a tempurpedic!
