I adore my Tempurpedic mattress topper! I recently bought a new mattress, not a Temperpedic, for which I am sorry. The saleswoman said it was the softest in their store. After buying the Tempurpedic topper, however, I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. I sink down and immediately feel enveloped in softness. Since I have a shoulder injury, I am now able to sleep on that side, which is a huge improvement. Next time, a Temperpedic mattress!

Been sleeping on it for 1.5 months now and it's still great. I barely toss and turn at all now, and only when my mind is racing, never for lack of comfort. Most people are right; it does take a few nights to get used to. It took me about a week. For those first couple of nights it was difficult to get to sleep (mind you, I am sleeping on ONLY the mattress pad, no bed underneath), but now I doze right off. I can lie down in a position that's comfortable and STAY in that position until I fall asleep. I could never do that before on my big queen spring mattress. And of course, the pad is portable; that's the main reason I looked for mattress pads/futons instead of traditional beds. (Side Note: Buy the Tempurpedic if you're deciding between that and a futon, even those "authentic" J-Life Shikifutons.) My mattress topper is comfortable, portable, can easily be fitted with sheets, and is MUCH less of a hassle when I'm moving - no hassle at all, really! If it's this or a futon, pick this.

This is the second twin that I purchased. The first one was for me and then my husband was commenting that his back was hurting, so I suggested that we purchase a second twin for his. The second one is about four inches shorter than the first one. Don't know why. But since my husband is not tall, it did not make much difference comfort wise, only looks odd when I make the bed.

Long story short I am in my mid 20s and have had chronic back pain for over a year now. Our mattress toppee we had was so soft I sunk into it and was very uncomfortable. We bought the extra firm temperpedic mattress topper and its been the best $500 ive ever spent. Zero complaints about this product!
