I had a topper many years ago and it had very good support. So I bought this topper in September and it is too soft. I'm a Chiropractic Doctor and know quality support. This topper caused my back to hurt and when I tried to return it, I was told that I was not able to. Knowing the return policy for the mattresses, I'm not pleased that I can't return this.

I really wanted to love this topper. My mattress is old, about 15 years. I knew it needed to be replaced but thought I might be able to milk a couple more years out of it by purchasing this. So, the unpacking process was about what I expected. I was able to assemble everything on my own. The surprise came when I slept on it. I don't slide to the center as one might expect with an old mattress, rather, I slide to the edge! One night I actually slid off onto the floor! In addition to the topper, I purchased the cooling pad. I thought that would be a very functional part of it all, as I prefer to be cool at night. However, when I put my sheets on top of the pad, I cannot feel a difference. But if I just rest on the pad without a sheet, I slide off the bed like eggs on no stick pan! Needless to say, this is not a long term fix! My back and hips have developed new aches and my nights are anything but restful. My topper is 4" thick. I am 60 years old. I am 5'6". 170 lbs.
