It really did take 24 hours to fully expand and at first the length was about 3 inches short. After using it about a week I remade the bed and repositioned the topper and it fit perfectly. I like that it allows me to sleep on my side as well back.

The main drawback is that it does not stay in place, especially if more than one person is sleeping on the bed. Since the topper only has one set of bands at the top to hold it in place, it tends to scrunch in at the sides when there's the weight of 2 people in the center, ultimately making the bed feel smaller. This isn't necessarily a problem if you have plenty of extra room in the bed, but for two people sleeping on a queen mattress, it makes for a tighter sleep.
