[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Interestingly, I didn't buy the Tempur-Pedic topper for myself at first. My girlfriend and I, who have known each other since first grade and are now in our 70s and live in different states, both have low back issues. She asked me if I thought a mattress topper would help her? I said, probably so! I forwarded her an ad I had seen for 40% off the Tempur-Pedic topper. She purchased it and said it really helped with her back pain! I already had a Tempur-Pedic mattress, but I thought, you know, it's almost 12 years old, maybe I ought to try the topper with newer technology, so I also got the topper and am very pleased with it. While we will never be out of lower back pain, every degree of relief is so welcomed! Love the Tempur-Pedic mattress topper!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this product. Ever since my previous relationship where I was first introduced to the topper, I fell in love. So did my boyfriend, because he's the one who took it! Had to get a new one for myself and luckily I got the upgraded one. I love the straps that hold the topper down to the mattress. I might even get another one to roll up and put into the back of my vehicle when I go on adventures and sleep on the go. Overall, wonderful purchase. I recommend letting it air out a few days first before putting it on the bed.

Soft but hurts my back

I bought this to put on top of my tuft and needle mattress. While I am impressed with the "cloud" like feeling of the topper I find myself in more back pain than I began with. I wouldn't recommend it for someone who needs a slightly more firm topper. (I am a side / back sleeper for reference)

First Topper to Work for Back Pain

I have severe scoliosis and have had back surgery several years ago. Our firm mattress is uncomfortable and causes me pain upon waking up. My husband likes a firm mattress, I have discovered I do not. We were planning to purchase a new mattress that would work for both me and my husband. That would have been a significant expenditure but necessary. I've tried high end latex toppers, but they did not work for me. Fortunately, I was able to return them. I was a bit hesitant to buy this topper because it is not returnable and in reading reviews, it did not appear to be good for stomach sleepers. I often wind up on my tummy. But much to my surprise, this topper was very different than latex. Don't get me wrong, quality latex is good, just not for me. I bought the TEMPUR-Adapt + Cooling Topper Twin XL, 3" for my side of the bed. It fills in all the gaps between my body and the topper. Granted, our bed when made looks a bit odd since the topper is thick but it's so worth it. To address concerns in reviews I found prior to buying it. It does not feel hot. I have it under my mattress pad. It does not really move around being a twin on a king sized bed. I may have to adjust it slightly every couple of weeks. I am a combination sleeper. I sleep on my both sides, my back and stomach. If you are a stomach sleeper 100% of the time, you may find that this topper does not provide the support you need. For me, I wind up on my stomach 50% of the time and it works fine. I am finally able to wake up without back pain. And as a person who has lived and is used to living with chronic lower back pain, it is very comfortable. It does not smell nor did it smell out of the box. I highly recommend this topper if you want to feel "hugged" by it. That is the best way I can describe this topper. I hoping that after my husband tries it, he will agree that we need one to cover the entire bed, not just my side.
