I read the reviews and was eagerly awaiting delivery not only of the topper but the pillow too. I set it up as instructed. First night I tossed and turned and awoke with a headache and neck hurting but hey first night in a new bed right. Second night I was up at 2:30 in the morning pushing the thing off my bed and throwing the pillow off after it. I had such a headache from the pillow and could not get comfortable on the mattress. I have had buyer's remorse before but this purchase was really disappointing. I also received the slippers in this deal and even they are not comfortable. So sad since everything seems very well made and the delivery was fast. Totally regret the purchase.

Hard, damaged, no returns

I never leave bad reviews, but this whole process has been a nightmare. Their customer service team has been very kind, though. The first topper came torn up and hard as a rock! I don't know how it ever left the factory... I called and was issued an exchange. It arrived quickly, which was great. Upon getting the exchange they said someone would call to pick up the damaged one. Two months later and it's sitting in my bedroom taking up all of the floor space. The new one has yet to soften up so my shoulders and hips are in pain every morning. I have to pay an additional $150 to have it picked up when the first topper is still sitting in my room! Beware THEY DO NOT HAVE FREE RETURNS! you must pay $150 and go through hoops to have one picked up. Please make sure you want a very very firm topper before purchasing.

My mattress was too firm, so I decided to get this topper in hopes of making my nights a little more comfortable. But the topper ended up being much harder than the firm mattress, similar to just sleeping on the floor. I wake up with pain everywhere. I called Tempur-pedic about it and was told it requires 30 days to break in. It's been two weeks and I give up. I'm in agony. There is very little give to it. If I lie on my back, my lower spine doesn't even touch the topper (I weight 130 pounds). That's how hard it is. I really wonder if there's something wrong with it, or is it supposed to be so hard? Or does it only work correctly in hot weather? I keep my house about 65 degrees. It's so stiff that I doubt I'll be able to fold or roll it to throw it away. If you're expecting something soft that cradles your body, don't buy this. That said, if you're a big person who sleeps hot enough to activate the guts of this thing so it gets soft, it might work for you. FYI: The topper arrived frozen and took two days to thaw. I was assured being frozen solid wouldn't hurt it, but I do wonder if they've been tested at -30. :D

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For the price tag I feel this product is mostly the brand name that you are buying. It definitely makes you sink in like you are in a big fat cloud...which I am not a fan of firm mattresses but as a side sleeper, makes tossing and turning a bit tougher then I would ever like....also its very warm, I feel about 10 degrees hotter at night and its currently winter...I'm overheating...not sure if I am going to be able to survive summer with this mattress topper. I bought the topper as a means to not yet have to buy a new mattress....i'd recommend if this is your logic...just splurge and get a mattress. This essentially feels like a soft version of any of those all foam mattresses on the market currently...but only about 3 inches thick...all and all I don't HATE it, but I wouldn't buy it again and unfortunately no return guarantee because its not a full mattress. :(

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've owned a tempurpedic mattress which worked well for me but over time bellied in the middle. I contacted Jessica in tempurpedic chat & she stated that the topper would correct this situation. I ordered the product & while comfortable when in bed, it is very difficult to get out of bed without straining one's back & shoulders. I had to remove the topper & it is now rolled up & sitting in my closet, Because I live in a very small apartment I had to get rid of the four shipping boxes. Now I am out almost $400 bucks unless I can sell it. There is no way I would be able to package this topper & bring to a UPS store. Buyer beware. The free pillow worked out fine.

I ordered this for my 95 year old mother in law who passed away less than a month after it arrived. When I was stripping the bed to wash the topper cover, I found that the seam had come open. The thin fabric on the underside of the cover had failed.

We have a California King and we ordered the Cal King topper. It is entirely too long and not wide enough. The edges curl up in our face when we lay on it. It now resides UNDER our mattress. I have emailed Tempur-Pedic twice with no response. Your information states that only mattresses can be returned, which is absurd, however, since we are stuck with this worthless, heavy monster and I suppose we learned a valuable lesson...
