I bought a twin size Tempurpedic mattress topper 2 years ago and it is perfect. But I bought a king size Tempurpedic mattress topper 3 months ago and had to immediately return it due to the horrible chemical odor. I do not know why they changed from a perfect non-odorous product to one that has a terrible odor. I also tried one from another company and that one also had strong chemical odor. This is the only reason that I am giving it one star....I couldn't get past the odor to test anything else. The one I bought from Tempurpedic 2 years ago was a five star product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I had a new memory foam mattress that was too firm. I woke with tingling shoulders and pain in my hips/lower back. With this topper, I get the support of the underlying mattress with a quality, comfortable topper. I have searched for 2 years for a new mattress - everything from latex to foam alternatives - and have suffered from lower back pain (slipped disk) down into my leg. With this topper, I'm back to 90% no pain. Now, we'll see how long the topper lasts. Thanks to Wirecutter for the review/reference and thanks to Tempur Pedic for a dense, contouring foam that heals.

I bought this for my sons bed his mattress is in rough shape but he stills sleeps in our room sometimes. I work night shifts and often will sleep in his bed and since I bought this topper I love sleeping in his bed... best money I have ever spent.

I had a Tempur-Pedic split king that I loved but opted to split it and use it as two twins in a guest room. I had an innerspring king that came with my bedroom furniture but sleeping on it was far from what I was used to on my Tempur-Pedic. I ordered the topper and it is absolutely terrific! Supportive and comfortable-I love it and am enjoying sleeping like a log once again!

The topper is a good product but it sleeps hot and I sink in so deep that it's difficult to turn over while sleeping. I have to wake up completely to struggle to change positions.

Made a big difference without having to buy a new mattress

It made a huge difference for me when we purchased the topper to place over our Sleep Number bed. I stay in bed all night and sleep much better without constantly turning throughout the night.
