Skip the topper and just buy another mattress

My wide was having issues with the firmness of our bed and our friends recommended this topper. It's junk, not firm at all just memory foam. A complete waste of money and non-returnable. My wife's back got worse and we had to just buy a new mattress from a store. I'm disappointed in Tempurpedic.

I own 2 of these toppers and have slept on one every night for 6 months. While the foam does feel amazing to lay down on, the design of the foam insert and cover are so poorly thought out that it severely detracts from the quality of sleep you can get with this topper. First, the topper traps more body heat than other foam toppers, either because the foam is solid and has no channels (holes) to allow airflow and/or because the zippered cover is made of a waterproof fabric that does not breathe. If you sleep hot, this is a major bummer. Removing the cover would be quite difficult because it only has a zipper on one end. Getting it back in would be a nightmare. Second, the mattress topper doesn't stay in one place. It shifts around on top of your mattress and pulls the fitted sheet off. I cannot fathom why Tempurpedic didn't think to sew elastic straps onto the cover at the corners. That one change would make this product so much better and easier to use. You still can't beat the comfort of this thick foam topper, but the design really needs revamping to make it worth the cost imo. I recommend it, but only if you are okay with it being fussy and hot.

Easy to install even inside a mattress protector that is like a sandwich bag. It does hold in heat more than the mattress alone. We don't wake up with one of our arms asleep because the mattress is too hard. But I do notice an increase in overall heat and retention. I definitely use one less blanket than before and I still notice a difference.

Serious back pain my entire adult life. This topper is worth the money. I opened it up before I left for work and almost forgot about until I went to change out of my work clothes. I laid down just to try it out and fell asleep in less than 10mins. I was out like a light for hours and only because I was starving from not having any dinner. very excited to start the new year with a basically new bed!

Best topper I have used, bed was a little firm for my liking and this definitely helps. The topper is a little firm itself, wish they had softer options but I knew this going in. I will say the off gasing took longer than I expected and is still lingering months later. First few days it was too intense, had windows open and fans on it the entire time with no help including flipping.

We purchased a topper for our queen bed just a few months ago. We love the comfort topper in itself. Unfortunately we had to wash the cover due to a medical condition that stained the cover. When I washed the cover it would not fit the foam as originally purchased. It actually shrunk. The website indicates that the topper is washable, but that did not work in my case. When I put the cover on it actually pulls the foam up. The only way for it work is if i don't zip it up all the way and switch it so the bottom is at the top. I contacted tempurpedic but was advised that just the cover could not be purchased separately. Bad move. You should be able to purchase the cover alone.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
