I bought a mattress in college that was very firm and cheap. My husband hated it but I loved it! We wanted to meet in the middle, so we got the tempurpedic mattress topper and it is so perfect!!!! I had a very expensive mattress when I lived with my parents, but my cheap bed with the added topper TOPPED that mattress! Highly recommend!

My parents have severe back issues (even on their current expensive mattress) however, after using the topper they have not had any back pain and even bought an additional 2 toppers for the spare bedroom. The bed given to me to use definitely was not comfortable at all, and this topper makes the mattress feel like a brand new one and is super comfortable. Definitely more on the "plush" side, though, so if you like to sleep on a more firm mattress I'd look into other products.
