3" topper is sufficient for 130lb body, but for 180lb body it's not enough. Also topper needs holsters of some kind on the corners to keep it in place. we have an adjustable base which contributes to slipping but just the transfer of in and out makes the topper slip out of place too.

Admittedly it was a difficult purchase due to finances. However probably the best investment I've made. My wife and I sleep on a split king every night. We've since purchased a fifth wheel trailer that now has threeTempur-pedic toppers. I wouldn't sleep without one. I would highly recommend this mattress to anyone who wants to wake up feeling rested and rejuvenated with no more back pain. We also love our Tempur-pedic pillows. Sincerely happy, The Hawes

Have compressed disc, L4-L5, have had pain when getting out of bed with "other guys" firm mattress for a couple years, put this on top of it, now, no pain - if you have lower back/disc problems, get it!! As current mattress is almost 8 years old, this "topper" has made my choice of replacement a lot clearer...
