It's perfectly balanced between being soft and giving enough support to the different parts of your body. I regret not choosing the cooling cover option, but I will get it soon.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have an expensive pillow top mattress which lost it's loft. I was waking often and rolling a lot to get comfortable. The mattress under the pillow top is fine. This Tempur-pedic topper makes all the difference. I am sleeping much better and feel full support even when only 1/4 turned toward my side . Most mattress's only support you fully when completely on your side, prone or supine.
