Very pleased with this topper! It was a splurge, pricier than other toppers from other retailers, but has improved our sleep immensely. I am glad I bought the cooling topper cover, as I think memory foam holds heat, and we are both very comfortable with this set. My only issue (and its a small one) is that the cooling cover is a bit "slippery" on top of our mattress, requiring occasional adjustment even with a fitted sheet on top. I know that both my spouse and I are sleeping better and more comfortably now!

I really wanted to love this topper, but I'm finding it's no more comfortable than the cheap topper I was using previously. My expectations were high since I've been sleeping on (and loving) Tempurpedic pillows for the last 15+ years. I was planning to purchase a Tempurpedic mattress, but decided to start with a topper, based on the price. I'm disappointed the topper doesn't offer a trial period, as the mattresses do. Otherwise, I'd return it and buy the bed.

Tempur says this is a high quality medium firmness topper. The topper is none of those. I own a topper-supreme for the firehouse and loved it, so I figured the tempur-adapt would be even better for my bed at home. I was WRONG. The topper is way softer and feels like cheap foam. I sink way to much into the topper-adapt. This may be great for others but not for me. Tempur should have stated the firmness was "soft" not medium. And of course, I am unable to return this topper-adapt according to their policy, so I am stuck with an over-priced topper that is no where close to the quality of the topper-supreme. Do NOT buy. Stick with the topper supreme...way better and costs less!

Buy this product if you're looking for something that actually keeps you cool at night. The fact you can't return it makes it an even worse buy. Now I have two pillow toppers and this one is on the bottoms because it doesn't work.

Everything we hoped for

We bought a firm king mattress with the intention of putting a soft topper on it. We have been completely satisfied. The topper arrived in about a week. Two days to air it out. Then slide into position on the mattress and exactly what we wanted. A firm mattress with a soft top that allows back and side sleeping. We do use extra deep mattress sheets since it adds height. Fits like they were made to go together.

Purchase this item. The pillow is cooler than the topper. This topper does not cool you down at all. I'd you're like me and going through menopause and need something to keep you cool during your hot flashes this is not for you. Don't waste your money. If I could send this back I would but I was told it was mine once I purchased it. It was quite expensive for something that doesn't work.
