We have a standard mattress from 2005. It was starting to get a tad saggy and uncomfortable, so we bought this topper with the cooling feature in hope this would help. It has tremendously helped! I'm a hot sleeper and am not waking up as often due to the sweats. I was initially concerned it might be too soft, but it has proven to be just right... we sink into it, but it is still supportive and comfortable. I would give 5 stars if it wasn't a tad smaller than our mattress. I find it odd that it is about 4 inches too short from head to toe. I called support and asked if that was usual... they suggested it needed time to expand after delivery. Unfortunately it hasn't changed at all. It's a minor irritation that pilllows cover. When we get to the point of needing a new mattress, we will definitely spring for the cooling top!

Previously had the Tempurpedic Cloud Lux which I loved but became too soft for me. I just purchased the Adapt topper with cooling and now the mattress feels perfect. Lucky I have a low adjustable base because it's now 19 inches thick.

Read this review! I was a skeptic with back pain.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have a split king adjustable bed. For about 3 years now. I noticed I would wake up with back pain most days and saw a chiropractor etc. and just couldn't shake it. We threw around the idea of me buying a firmer mattress for my side but as you know, they're costly. I decided to try a mattress topper. I did A LOT of research. And I read A LOT of reviews. I decided to pull the trigger and spent the extra $ for the cooling part as well. First week, I almost threw it out (because there ARE ABSOLUTELY NO RETURNS, Read that fine print!) not only was it not helping. It was so soft and not cool at all. I decided to try and put it on without a sheet (only put a sheet on my split king mattress) and put it on top of it. Since the cooling aspect IS cool to touch, I can only come to the decision that it wasn't cool under a sheet because I was not laying directly on the cooling material. THIS HELPED. be cautious though, you WILL need two people to get it back in the cover when you take it off to clean it. I had A LOT of laughs trying this with a friend, we eventually got it back in. I have had this for about 4-5 weeks and I have noticed that my back is MUCH better after sticking with it. My conclusion is this (take it for what you want): the mattress topper IS memory foam of some sort right, so it is NOT firm. Your hand will sink right to the bottom of it when pressing down, this will your body. BUT!!!! My mattress does NOT sink in with this on it. It does act as a buffer and I think that's how it is supposed to work. I was extremely upset the first week I had it. But now, I will NOT sleep without it. And yes, as others have stated, it does kind of conform to your body making you feel cozy and less apt to roll over a lot in the middle of the night. I am extremely happy with this purchase. If you get one, it does take some getting used to but it did help my pain improve alot and for that I am thankful.
